Pet care experience
Hey! My name is Kayleen, I have been caring for and living around animals my entire life. I have been watching animals for family, friends, neighbors, and clients for a little over a year and a half. I do have experience with senior and special needs animals. I can administer oral medicine if needed, brush, play, walk, and just hang out. Quick disclaimer: I will be accompanied by a friend or family member while house sitting or going on walks for my safety. By having a second person with me it allows me to feel safer in a strange, new home and gives your pets an extra friend to play with! A little more about me: I am a Kennel Attendant at a local vet clinic. I am in the process of furthering my education and experience with animals. I personally have 1 dog, 1 cat, 1 guinea pig, and 1 parakeet. I do however live in a household where I help care for 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 birds, 3 guinea pigs, 3 rats, 5+ fish and snails (and for those with green thumbs I also have a lot of plants!)

Kayleen was wonderful! It was our first time using rover, and she put us at ease right away by meeting the pup first. Left things nicer than when she came, and our pup was taken care of and happy to see us as if we never left. The pictures and video we received also made our night. Thank you so much!

Kayleen and Jonathan did a great job. Our dogs were well cared for and they left our house clean. We weren't due back until late and they made a special trip to feed them and let out before we came back. Would definitely use Kayleen again and would recommend.

I require detailed instructions about how your pet likes to eat, sleep, play, walk, and even potty. I like to know what their favorite toys are, if they prefer cuddles or just random cheerful acknowledgments from time to time. My priority is your pets safety and comfort, especially in their own home. I will do all I can to keep their day to day life as normal as possible so you can enjoy your time away from home. I will always have a friend or family member with me for my safety and for the extra safety and support for your pet (no extra charge to you as it is for my preference and safety). Having the extra help also allows me to care for all your bigger furry friends that are just a tad too big for just me!

I would like to know their preferred routine and their habits, i.e. digging holes, chewing on shoes or cords, allowed on furniture, are they allowed to have treats, etc. I want your pet to feel as safe and comfortable as possible so any little quirk you do, I want to know! I also would like to know if your dog does well around other dogs. I need to know if I need to look out for other dogs while on walks or if I can take them to dog parks or even play with my own dogs!
A typical day
I live in North Spokane and love going on walks or hikes! My favorite parks to walk around include Hays Park, Franklin Park, and Friendship Park. Favorite pet friendly hiking areas I love going to is Bowl and Pitcher. Does your dog do well around other dogs? I will GLADLY take them to the dog park to run around and have fun with other friends!

Availability
I work five 8 hour shifts, Saturday- Wednesday. For specific times that can be discussed during booking so we can plan out the specific needs for your pet. My friend who joins me on all house sitting books also works five 8 hour shifts Monday-Friday. We are both comfortable with working and pet sitting as long as your animals are okay with having someone away for long periods of time or you know someone who can do drop ins!
