I have worked at Canine Companions since 2017 training service dogs. While in high school and college, I have dog and cat sat as well as fostered. I am trained in grooming/nail trimming. I have administered medication to dogs through my work and also with pet sitting dogs. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes but the majority of my experience is with medium to large. I have been trained on dog first aid through my work. I grew up with dogs (mostly labs), volunteered at the Santa Barbara Humane Society, and worked at a summer camp at the San Diego Humane Society. If your pup is associated with Canine Companions, I am able to bring him/her with me to work. Otherwise, I work full-time so I am able to use my lunch hour to let the dogs out/go for a walk. I have weekends and holidays off and love going on hikes or visiting the beach. If you are looking for a sitter that can be home most of the day Monday through Friday, I am not a good option. Weekends I have free to do dog-friendly activities! If you are willing for me to dog sit at your house and bring my dogs and significant other, I am happy to give you a discount. This is more useful during holidays or longer stays. I have a golden retriever and lab that are both very friendly. The golden is more playful and outgoing while the lab is a couch potato.
