When I was in grade school I set up a neighborhood dog walking club. The club consisted of me, my dad and 10 dogs of varying sizes. It was through this club that my passion for animals blossomed. I started volunteering at the local animal shelters and humane societies in high school and found a pride in all the different positions I held. My favorite was as a Dog Socializer. I was tasked with easing new pups into the facility as well as with the other dogs and people that worked at the shelter. I also assisted with adoption consultations. My compassion and patience are both wonderful traits I have excelled in through working with animals. My calm nature makes dogs comfortable and at ease.
