My dog, Amber, has been in my life for 13 years. When she was younger, I would go out in my back yard and play soccer with her. We would play tug of war, which she was really good at. We played a lot together. I'd feed her and clean up any of her messes. It's been harder as she's gotten older, (and since I moved away for school), but when I'm home on breaks, I still take her on short walks and spend as much time with her as I can. I prepare her food, sometimes cooking rice and hamburger for her weak stomach. Because of old age, we don't play around like we used to. I usually have to carry her up and down stairs when she needs to get around the house. She would tire easily, so I'd snuggle up to her when she laid down on the floor. We are best buds. All of this is to say that I would treat any dog the same way that I've treated my girl-- with a lot of love, care, and fun!
