Pet care experience
Hey y’all! My name is Kayla and I’ve been watching pets and house sitting for 13 years now. I’ve had many different types of critters over the years and have watched some unique ones too! I’ve lived my entire life having some type of pet: dogs, cats, a bunny, Guinea pigs, hamsters, a ferret, frogs, turtles, tons of fresh and saltwater fish, Axolotls, and even farm animals too! I’m a dog lover who would choose to be around dogs everyday over people if i could! But, i love all types of animals! I truly enjoy every new experience and animal i meet, they help build my skill set and expand my knowledge on all types of pets. I love going to dog parks, pet smart, and walks around the neighborhood to provide good socializing, new environment, and people skills with my own dog! I used to do volunteer dog walking on the weekends at the Austin Animal Center pre-covid days,i loved the experience i got with all types and sizes of dogs! I love dogs and how each one has their own personality. They’re so much fun and bring so much joy to me! I look forward to hearing from you soon and can’t wait to meet your fur babies!

We have hired Kayla numerous times, and are always happy with the services she provides. We feel very comfortable that she is able to handle our two large breed dogs and cat. She always picks up after herself and leaves the house cleaner than we left it.
We are a repeat client of Kayla‘s. She routinely watches our two Great Danes and cat. She is very personable, responsible, kind and communicates well. We felt at ease, leaving our pets with her. Throughout her stay, she kept us updated with details and photos. We are very happy with her services and recommend her.
Kayla was absolutely phenomenal!! Could not have asked for a better pet sitter. She was sooooo sweet with our boys and they absolutely LOVED her & her daughter (which is not typical). The house was absolutely spotless- way better than we left it. She cooked for the boys & kept me updated with photos and daily check ins. I will never not book Kayla when we are out of town. 🤍

For walks, drop-ins, and house sitting pets in your home: my availability is open and very flexible depending on what your pets need to feel comfortable and cared for the way you would if you were home. I can stop by throughout the day or stay over night if needed. -Open to daily feedings/water changes, walks or backyard play time, cuddle time, a bath and brushing, throwing a ball or playing fetch, giving medications… i can do it all! Whatever your pet needs and is used to, i can do! For house sitting stay, I can also keep up with cleaning, collect any mail, water your plants, pick up the yard, do litter box changes, take trash bins to the curb, and I always make the bed and wash any sheets/towels on the final day… i strive for perfection when it comes to making sure all pets are happy and healthy and with leaving the home the same way it was when i arrived. I’m open to helping with whatever needs to get done and am sure to be able to accomplish whatever tasks when in your home. I do a lot of home organizing and cleaning so i love to help people with that in my free time! Please reach out to me about whatever you and your pets need for a happy home! :)

Let me know if your dog has any special quirks or needs anything in particular, anything from daily medications to particular meal preferences or favorite blanket/toy… I have experience with all types of dogs with differences and funny characteristics! Fun Fact- Pit bulls are my absolute favorite breed, no breed discrimination with me! I love all of them! :)
A typical day
There are lots of great parks to explore if they’re into that during walks. Or we can play fetch in the yard after meals to burn some energy and have time to go potty before cuddles and belly rubs! I’m also okay with lots of cuddles while watching a movie or during nighttime if they’re used to staying close and need the comfort!

Availability
For drop ins, pet sitting in your home, and longer over night house sitting stays… my availability is open and very flexible! I can stop by throughout the day or stay over night if needed. For overnight stays, my 2 year old daughter would be with me. She is a sweet girl who loves animals and helping me. She has been doing Rover with me since she was born, it’s been a huge blessing to be trusted so much with her by my side! I bring her own portable play yard and set it up in the bedroom so the pets still can free roam and won’t wake her up when she sleeps and she won’t be in their way and disrupt routines if they have them. I try to keep her away from the pets unless they choose to engage first and come up to her to sniff/lick at her. But i keep that barrier between them for safety reasons and to eliminate the potential risk! We both love all pets and I have years of experience dealing with them so i feel confident in the care I can provide for all the pets I meet.
