Pet care experience
I have had dogs and cats all of my life. My last dog was a German shepherd mix who I trained through the 4H program. I have skills in correct dog walking and love to see the dog having a fun time exploring outside. I have experience with over 25 different breeds of dog and cat from ages 3 months to 17 years old. My family and I had a sweet and rambunctious Boston Terrier named Lily with severe medical needs. She required daily medication and sometimes emergency medication was needed in some situations. I am also experienced with dogs that suffer from anxiety and separation anxiety. I genuinely enjoy my time to hangout with your pets and I am happy to make their day fun. I have cared for and assisted in training my sister’s American Pitbull Terrier since she was young. I have the patience and knowledge to care for puppies to seniors. I have learned so much over my 3.5 years with Rover and through my personal life experiences with animals and continue to learn. Every pet is different and like us they have their own personalities and different ways to help care for each of them. I have my cat Peso who is about 8 years old now. I currently live with Peso and Calliope, my sisters Pitbull. Your member of the family will always feel safe and loved in my care. Caring for your pet and offering a safe and fun environment is my #1 priority. Weather it is a dog walk or house sitting; they will always have my attention. I also LOVE information. The more info you can provide me on your pet the better. This way I can come prepared and ready to enjoy our visit. I am always aware of our surroundings on dog walks to stay one step ahead so your fur baby can enjoy their walk stress free. During Drop in visits and House sitting I am always 100% respectful of your home and space. Keeping everything clean and returned how you left it if not better! In summary, I will always treat your pet and your home as if it was my own.

Kayla was great with communication and took great care of our dog Brutus and our home. Brutus is a large dog who has some anxiety but Kayla’s calm demeanor was a perfect match to keep him happy and calm. Looking forward to our next visit.

A typical day
I’d love to hear about what trails they like to go on and what their favorite toy is. We can burn off some energy on a good walk or chasing a ball. Maybe they just want to cuddle on the couch and that’s fine too! I can also work on training if you’d like to learn some tips and tricks I’ve picked up over the years!

Availability
I work 9-5 in Irvine during the weekdays. The office is dog friendly! I do have some flexibility for checking in on my lunch breaks as well if you are located near by. I am available during house sitting before and after work. I am available after work on weekdays for dog walking and check ins. I am open on weekends where your little ones get all my time and attention. I am able to work from home 1-2 days a week as well. With my new work schedule I have kept my existing feline clients and gained a few more as well. I would love to add hours to the litter! Ask me about holidays!
