Hello, my name is Kayla! I have a Pre-Vet Animal Science degree from the University of Minnesota. I absolutely adore animals of all shapes and sizes. I just adopted my rescue dog Willow, who loves to tag along if she can. Some things I can provide for your fur babies: love, walk/exercise, structured routine, patience, basic training, cuddling, medication administration, socializing with my pup Willow and anything else an animal may need. I have basic care knowledge and training with a wide variety of animals. I have had small dogs my whole life but also worked with medium and large breeds, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and birds. I will be pursuing a veterinary degree in the future and am always looking to make new fur baby friends 💕

I am normally quick to reply, always honest and reliable, and would be respectful while I am in and out of your home. I always keep an eye on any animals outside and will follow any specific/quirky instructions while they are in my care. On walks we generally stay away from other dogs to prevent any unwanted interactions. I double check that gates and doors are locked to keep the animal (and home) safe. I don’t invite people to come with and can send updates while I am there. I am also willing to take care of plants and grab mail if you need it.

I generally recommend a meet and greet so we can all interact in person to make sure everyone is comfortable. It is important to me that I know how your animal will react to other animals and people. For reactive dogs I can take special precautions. I would also like to be provided with information on their veterinary care (in case of emergencies). Any medication or medical conditions that would also help me provide the best care possible
A typical day
A typical day for me includes a handful of drop-ins and daily walks. Drop-ins normally involve a let out, feeding, playtime, and lots of attention. I do both exercise and sniff walks, which ever pace fits the dog’s needs. I have a flexible schedule so I try to accommodate timing requests for visits.

Availability
I am currently a full time pet sitter so my schedule varies each day. I have a few regular weekly visits during the middle of the day and I’m always open to new requests. I do my best to put myself on the animal’s schedule so they have as normal of a day as possible. I volunteer at a local shelter a few days a week as well.
