Pet care experience
I can administer medications; diabetic injections, orally, eye drops/creams, skin treats, and more! I can do basic grooming and nail trimming as well. I also have experience watching young puppies all the way to older dogs that need an extra hand. I have watched and taken care of animals spanning from dogs/cats all the way to horses, sheep, pigs, and even iguanas!

Kayla was great with our two dogs while we were away for the weekend! She stayed in touch while we were gone and I could tell they were well taken care of when we got back! :)
We have used Kayla numerous times! Our pets are not the easiest (insulin dependent dog), other older dog, flock of chickens (one who will not go in the coop at night and has to be carried), etc. We went away for an extended period with limited cell service and never had a worry that all our pets were in good hands. Kayla keeps us updated appropriately, took care of extras like mail and trash without us asking, etc. Our pets love her which is the most important part. She is comfortable around all animals and is so kind that they all just take to her. We just wish she wasn't away at college so much so we could use her year round!
I love Kayla. She has cared for my 3 dogs for multiple overnights. 2 dogs are special needs, diapers and medication daily. I have one dog that is very shy and takes a long time to warm up to new people. Kayla took the time to come visit her a couple of times before our trip, this made us feel comfortable that the dogs would do well with her. Our dogs ranged from 6 mos old to 12 years old. while the older dogs have free range of our property, the puppy was still required a leash or to be out in an enclosed area. Even though the dogs did not require walking, Kayla provided playtime (including pool time for the puppy with safety vest) everyday to make sure they had exercise. Upon our return our dogs are content, like they didn’t miss us too much. This to me said they were happy being in Kayla’s care.
Kayla did a fantastic job caring for my 5 cats, 1 foster cat, 5 fish, and even 3 snails! It gave me peace of mind having her stay in my home giving love to my babies while I was away for the week. Knowing they weren't alone let me enjoy my vacation even more. She is a sweet and caring person and even sent pictures of my babies while I was away :) I'll definitely being calling again! Thank you Kayla!

I will ensure to check that if there is a yard, that the gates are closed and did not blow open from wind or get accidentally left open. I also am 100% understanding of cameras in the home and have no issue being supervised while I make a visit! The doors will be locked upon entry and exit to your home.

A typical day
We can have a productive stroll/jog and we can mix in stopping to smell at the things! With cats, I will ensure to mess around with their toys to ensure they start to play. If your dog or cat is more chill and uninterested in a lot of activity, I can also sit with them and give them a lot of love!

Availability
I currently am a college student but have a very light semester. I am majoring in Forensic Biology but have so much love for animals that I plan to pursue a career in the Fish and Wildlife services Forensic Lab after graduating. I always love to have animals in my life, I ride horses multiple times a week, driving an hour away each time to do so! I have time before, after, and in between classes to help with your pets!
