Pet care experience
I have cared for dogs and cats of nearly all breeds since I was a child, all the way from Chihuahuas to Great Danes, from Siamese to Persians. I have a plethora of invaluable experiences walking, bathing, feeding, transporting, and cuddling animals. From dogs to snakes to guinea pigs, I grew up with all of them. I take great pride in how I care for my own cats and how I care for my family's dogs. In 2015, I fostered and volunteered with Brother Wolf, where I took several dog walking courses and walked dogs regularly. I'm an ethical vegan, which is not a requirement of a passionate animal care professional, but it certainly means that animal and pet welfare is a top priority of mine.

Kayla was great with our two German Shepherds and two cats! She was very communicative and sent us pictures throughout her stay. We knew our pups were in great hands while we were away! Would highly recommend Kayla and plan to use her again in the future!

Loved my first time using Rover! The process was easy and quick. Kayla was wonderful! She did extra little things that made life easier for us when we got home. I loved all the pictures and text messages. I would definitely use Rover again and most definitely use Kayla again!!
Kayla does a fabulous job with our sweet but strong & stubborn 2 year old Black Lab Retriever Hound mix, Indigo. Indie doesn't always make it easy for Kayla, but she is very patient with Indie. I know that our pup is in good hands - getting quality snuggles and walkies in. I really appreciate all of the updates and photos I receive on Kayla's visits as well as her carefully reading updates I've sent her regarding behavioral or health things going on with the pup pup. All the stars!

My cats live in the lap of luxury. I brush and groom them regularly, administer any and all meds they need, keep their litter box clean daily, play with them, and cuddle them endlessly. You can expect nothing less than those same standards for your own pets. I have equal experience with dogs as I grew up around a variety of breeds (chihuahuas all the way to great danes). I can crate them, clean up after them, and bathe as well. I do not discriminate against breeds nor have any fear of breeds (I love pitties!). I also have experience with fearful and timid animals, and I always respect their boundaries.

For dog walks: - How is your dog when meeting/greeting other dogs? Should I avoid other dogs? - Does your dog ever attempt to get out of their harness/collar? - Is your dog leash reactive? What, if any, types of environments overstimulate them? - What is your dog's favorite type of treat? - Any treats I should avoid? For check-ins: - Is your dog house trained, crate trained, and/or pad trained? - What is your dog's favorite toy and treat? - Does your cat need brushing during my visit? Does she/he like catnip, specific treats? - How do your pets typically behave with new guests? - Do any of your pets have allergies?
A typical day
I walk my own family's dogs at Fletcher park, but when hired by you, I will walk them around your neighborhood or at any specific spot you prefer. When I do check-ins for dogs and cats, I ensure that they feel comforted and special with plenty of pets and plays.

Availability
I am currently a full-time student taking five courses and working another part-time job. As such, my availability is quite limited at the moment. With the nature of these things considered, I am only able to work as a weekend sitter for those lil' getaways that you and your family sometimes need! I can also do drop-ins during the day if the hours are flexible. Even if you are in doubt about my schedule working, please reach out anyway! There is always a possibility I am having an odd schedule week.
