I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, including rescuing high-risk dogs for rehabilitation purposes and volunteering at shelters and rescues. I currently have 2 rescues living with me, one that I’ve had for 12 years and the other for 6 years. I treat my dogs like royalty, ensuring they only get filtered water, do not come near anything that could make them sick on walks (e.g., dog waste that does not get picked up by their owners, food tossed on the ground, etc.), high-grade treats and food to ensure their longevity, sniff breaks at approved clean areas so that they still get to be dogs and get their dopamine hit (lol!), etc. In short, I make sure I do everything in my power to make sure the dogs have a good life, are safe, and are completely happy and relaxed. Why is this important for you to know? Because I will take care of your dogs with the same utmost care as I give my dogs. Before the pandemic, I traveled a lot for work and when I could not take the dogs with me on my work trips, I would have to leave them with a sitter. Despite vetting all sitters in their entirety, I still always had anxiety with leaving them behind because I could never be sure that someone would take care of my dogs the way I do. My goal is that if I’m watching your babies, you would have absolutely nothing to worry about and you should be able to go about your day knowing your dogs are getting the highest quality of care and they are having the time of their lives!
