Pet care experience
Hello, my name’s Kayla and I’d love to care for your pets! I started pet sitting at the beginning of 2018, in my hometown neighborhood old-fashion style with flyers! My first ever job was working for WAG! and I spent a year working for them before I went to University fall of 2019. During the pandemic I started working for Rover and I have been here ever since! I am a very diligent person who prioritizes paying detailed attention to pets under my care. Caring for animals is not a job to me, but rather a privilege and fun activity that I enjoy doing. Consults are free and required for first time clients, I always try to be as flexible as possible for my clients. I work in a lab from 9-4 most days, so pets that work for early morning and afternoons work best with my schedule. I have experience with both cats and dogs, and no preference for either, I love both!

Kayla stayed for a week with our small terrier and was FANTASTIC. She sent pictures throughout the day, so I knew that our dog and house were being well cared for. I highly recommend her and will absolutely book with her again.
Kayla was an awesome dog/house sitter! The dogs were happy and well exercised, plants were all alive when we returned, and the house was in great shape. We would call on her again if the need arose!
Kayla was fantastic while we were away for a weekend. She took great care of our two retrievers, on of whom is still a puppy and requires a lot of attention. She gave us lots of updates and followed our requests faithfully. Will definitely book her again!
Kayla is a fantastic sitter. Five stars (we'd give more if there were more to give). She stayed at our house with our four cats (two elders, one kitten included) and did everything we asked including making sure that the cats were well taken care of, including engaging with the cats with their multiple personalities. We received daily photos are every feeding, brushing, treats, etc. We cannot more highly recommend her.

House sitting depends on the pet needs, most of my previous clients have preferred I stay with their pets overnight but that is not necessary if not needed! House sitting can mean staying with your pets for several hours, and can also include basic upkeep like plant watering and cleaning after your pets.

I do not have breed preferences, and I also do not mind high-maintenance dogs. I would like to be notified if a dog or cat has certain aggressive characteristics as well as if they have been diagnosed with any sort of illness or medical issues.
A typical day
I tend to take hyper-active dogs on fast-paced walks around the neighborhood and sometimes I'll even take them on a jog, since I am athletic and run sometimes. I enjoy playing fetch with dogs and giving them lots of pets and cuddles. Cats are usually super chill but I have had some who like to play with sting toys and some who just like to be pet and held!

Availability
I am a full time virtual student, and I work in lab from 9am-4pm. Typically pets that need attention morning and afternoon work best with my schedule— and weekends are completely free! My schedule is always up to date with my availability-- but please reach out for specific dates.
