Pet care experience
* Update for 2024 ~ unfortunately due to the constant rising costs of everything, I am sadly going to have to put Rover a little bit lower on my list of priorities and may have to be a little choosey about which bookings I can fit in my schedule! 😿 I will be working from home a lot more, so I have lowered my rate for boarding significantly in hopes that 2024 brings lots of new furry friends to board, and to maybe tempt any drop in clients to also take their kitty on a vacation ~ at my house! 🤞😻 That’s the update, thank you everyone so much for understanding! * A little about me ~ I grew up with a family of 3 cats, 2 dogs, fish, hamsters, love birds, turtles, snakes, lizards, you name it! Vancouver is the worst for pet friendly rentals (or any at all, let’s be real) and after having to move 5x in the span of 18 months, I found one, but am too traumatized & worried about the housing crisis to be able to commit to having my own cat again. Rover has helped me fill that cat shaped hole in my heart! I am doing this for more reasons than just money. ❤️🩹😻 I live in a central area so access to your fur baby would be easy, and I would always be open to any last minute plans (or cancellations, no charge)! For those boarding their cats with me - I have a litter box, food dishes & some toys here, and am a homebody so they would have company most of the time! And many windows for front row squirrel & bird watching. Disclaimer ~ I will definitely take selfies with your pet and hopefully try to snag a few cute portraits of them (if they are willing models)! 😂

What can I say about Kayla, my cat had to go to the Vet while I was away in Mexico. Kayla took him got the required medication and took care of my baby like he was hers.At no point was I worried I knew he was in safe Hands.I would give her 10 stars if I could. This girl is worth every penny to look after your pet.
Kayla was great from the get go with clear communication and openness which helped put me at ease with boarding our sweet adult cat, Winnie, for just over two weeks. While Winnie was at Kayla’s, she provided photos and sweet check-ins about how they were getting along and activities they were doing. It was really great!
We re-book with Kayla every time we are away !! She always does a really good job caring for our two kitties and we couldn’t be happier.
Absolutely great host! This is the first time we've travelled where our cat came home happier than when she left. Normally, when we pick her up from anywhere that isn't home, she's a ball of stress and yowls all the way home. This time, she was relaxed and happy. She'd obviously had a great time while we were on vacation, and we had a relaxed trip with the videos and photos Kalya sent showing her playing around and snoozing. Thanks so much for taking great care of our cat - would happily repeat!

I am on the ground floor of a 4 suite house. I live alone but have lots of space and many windows with various water bowls and blankets to loaf on. I am very good at catching even the sneakiest of escape artists, and don’t keep windows open or anything out in the open that I think a cat I am not familiar with may want to play with/eat/etc

I have dealt with quite the variety of pets, from ones with mega attitudes to special needs seniors, and have experience administering topical and various oral medications. As long as you leave me instructions, I am confident I can care for whatever your fur babes needs are!
A typical day
All of the best typical cat things, I love how each one is so different than the next and getting to know what makes them want to play or cuddle or get zoomies is the most fun part of being on Rover. No booking is the same!
