I have always been an animal lover. I love meeting new dogs and cats, getting to know their individual personalities. I've always had dogs and cats growing up, they have been a great part of my life. I can't resist petting all the pupper I see. I enjoy going to the dog park that is near my house and socializing the dogs I sit. I have trained my own dogs basic commands and potty training. I am very flexible to work with your pets normal schedule and routine. I can work with more active dogs, taking them for walks and to the park, and I also enjoy a good chill time with dogs of a more lazy nature. I've had to give various medications to my own pets in the form of pills. I also work as a house cleaner so I will keep your space neat, tidy, and disinfected for when you return home. I am available over any holiday. I have dealt with dogs that have separation anxiety, I will be patient with them and give them extra attention so they can deal with you being away. I am currently not providing home services at this time. I do have a fenced in yard with a doggy door and I live in a quite neighborhood. There is a Dog Park and many other parks that I enjoy going to. I also like taking them on daily walks around the neighborhood as well.

I highly recommend Kayla. Like a lot of pet owners, my dogs are family to me, and I hate the idea of putting them in a kennel, but it’s hard finding someone trustworthy to stay in your home. Kayla watched my 3 large dogs for 10 days and was wonderful. She was very attentive to their needs, she brushed them, and took them on walks. She also did very well dealing with my 2 dogs who don’t always like to go outside. I also came home to find my house was well cared for and clean, and I really appreciated that. I plan to always use Kayla for my pet sitting needs.
Kayla took such good care of our dogs and cats! We have a crazy young dog and a senior dog, and she took equally great care of them both, catering to their unique needs. She kept us super well-informed of everything going on with them when we were away and was extremely responsive whenever we had questions. We felt so lucky to have her taking care of our precious animal friends!
Kayla was fantastic!! She stayed in contact with photos and updates. We were VERY pleased with her services and communication. We immediately booked with Kayla upon our return and plan on working with Kayla as long as she’s available.

If you have a fenced in yard, I do not leave your pet outside unattended. They are always on a leash when going outside otherwise. Daily exercise is also important. Depending on the age of your pet, I like to spend 30 minutes to 2 hours everyday taking a walk and/or playing. I like to arrive at your home within 3 hours of your departure if possible and leave around 2 hours before you return. I don't mind doing regular house things while I am at your home, like collecting the mail, watering plants, and taking the trash to the curb.

I'd like to know if they have any personality quirks that make them unique. If they have any special treats they enjoy and what their regular eating habits are. How they interact with other animals. If they have a particular scratching spot they like. If they have a regular walking route and what it is. If you clean up right after them in the yard and where to dispose of their waste. What games they like to play i.e. tug-of-war or fetch. If they have a favorite toy. I like to know if your pet had any aggressive tendencies especially if you have multiple pets in your home and things that they may not like such as their feet touched, loud noises, other dogs, or people in the neighborhood. Also, they are escape artist and places they may like to hide or mark. Separation anxiety is another big need to know. What helps them to stay calm while you are away, if they normally whine, if they are destroyer when left alone, and what procedures do I need to do before leaving them alone.
A typical day
There is a very nice dog park near my house that offers large spaces for your dog to run, play, and socialize with other dogs. I will also take then in daily walks within the neighborhood or on their regular walking routines. If your dog is more of a stay at home type I will be happy to spend more time with them in a space they are comfortable with. I enjoy training sessions with young dogs, playing games with them like treat puzzles, and of course a good round of tug-of-war or fetch is always welcome!

Availability
My work schedule: Tuesdays and Fridays from 7am to 4pm so it may be difficult to start a sitting on those days until the evening. Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday I usually have a 5 hr shift.
