Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Kayla and I love animals! I have been rescuing/fostering/volunteering with animals for over 17 years. I am also a pet nutritionist. Most of it was traveling around the country, and even to Germany. My fiancé and I recently bought a house in Topsham, ME. I am trying to network and get my name out there in this area, I would love to do that by showing your pet the best care, and giving you the most worry free time away! I currently work second shift at BIW, so my time is limited. I am open to answer any questions you may have. I am flexible, and I always stay in touch with my clients while they are away. I have a fenced in yard in a safe neighborhood. Just message me if you would like to set up a booking, ask a question, or just say hello!

Kayla was wonderful with our dog, Snoopy. I was a little concerned that she would not be able to manage a big, loud, barky dog but she was totally unfazed and made friends with him quickly. She kept me updated on how things were going with his stay which alleviated any concerns I had. I would highly recommend Kayla to others.
We had to find a dog sitter about 2 days before the big holiday the 4th so we could go for a vacation out of state. We found Kayla and she accepted our puppy before they got a chance to meet each other. We went to meet Kayla before dropping off the puppy, she is nice and friendly and always has smiles on her face. We Ginger is dropped off to her, Ginger quickly got used to her new temp home with Kayla's love and care. Over the days we were on vacation, Kayla constantly sent text messages and pictures to us letting us know how Ginger was doing. We picked up on the way back home from vacation, it was already late of the day, but Kayla didn't mind, i.e. she is flexible on pick up time as long as it happened on the day it's supposed to be. Overall we were very happy with Kayla's care, and we will definitely use her again if we need to.

A typical day
My dog hosting/sitting style is very different depending on the dog/cat I am hosting. I play off of how the animal is, what the owners have told me to do, and what I believe is the best for that pet. Some owners have strict schedules that need to be followed, others are very casual and just want their pet fed, walked and happy. I am there to make sure your pet gets everything you want him/her to have!
