Pet care experience
As a young child I would watch/walk friend's and family member pets. At the age of 10 I decided to start going door to door in my community and close neighborhoods to assist with pet needs. In Highschool I started volunteering at shelters to walk dogs and do minor training to help with adoptability. I socialized and played with the cats just as much. I've always maintained basic maintenance like bathing, brushing, and nail trimming. (Yes even with cats) 😊 I am very passionate about pet enrichment and making homes whole. I know that it isn't easy leaving my fur babies in anyone else's care so I take great pride in giving the best care possible. I am familiar with all age groups and enjoy engaging with all size companions. Since I am versed in behavior and training I do implement my skills on visits and walks. Safety first! 🐕

Kayla is more than reliable and trustworthy! I have a doodle and I’m extremely picky who handles him. Kayla is the only person that I allow him to go on adventures with. She is not only a trainer, pet dietician but, a animal whisper. She is very patient and loving. I have to warn you.. you’ll get lots of updates and pictures including the stool to show you their temper under her care. If Oliver is not playing with his friends; Kayla is the only one I trust and you should too.. you won’t regret it.
I have used Kayla for a few years now and find her to be very reliable. My dogs (3) all love having her at my house whenever I travel. They get so excited, which is so much different than when I took them to the Kennel. My oldest dog is a 14 y.o Springer and it was so hard to change her environment by taking her to the kennel that she wouldn't eat or sleep. I feel very comfortable having Kayla in my home while I am gone and my dogs always smell good when I return. I highly recommend Kayla.

I try to stick to the pet's normal routine best I can. I make sure to ask questions and follow special instructions like medication or behavioral sensitivities. When giving treats I know they will not have allergies. I want to make sure they are comfortable with me so I always put effort into building a trusting relationship with the fur baby.

A typical day
If permitted, I enjoy field trips with the dogs. Places like la cantera, the pearl, and surrounding dog parks for a safe hike. Play time in their own environment with their toys is always fun. I love parking lots to work with exposing the baby to the environment safely.
