Pet care experience
Edit: Starting January 1st of 2024, prices for drop-in visits and dog walking will be calculated based on how far I need to drive. Sadly, Rover takes quite a percentage from us sitters and the cost of gas has been really taking a toll on some of these farther drives. Anything within 8 miles will be the price shown. Anything farther than that will be an additional 50 cents per mile to make up for the time and gas. I'm not going to waste anyone's time with silly pictures and a buttered-up profile. This is all you need to know: I'm respectful, reliable, and I take the utmost pride in caring for and loving my fur-babies. I can assure you I will do the same for yours. I want your fur-baby to have fun with me, but my number one priority will always be the safety of all parties involved. I approach pet-sitting the same way I used to approach teaching martial arts. I want every student to have fun every time, but we can only have fun if everyone agrees to put safety first. I have had dogs in my home my entire life. My profile says I don't have dogs, but I do. It won't let me change it unless I had a ridiculous amount of info about my dogs, so just making a note here instead for you all. Currently, I have two beautiful dogs. I feed them the best food I can afford and they are up to date on everything. I also have experience with cats, small mammals, birds, reptiles/amphibians, and fish; so feel free to contact me about those if you have a need for it. Some house rules we have are NO people food under ANY circumstance, you only get fed at appropriate meal times, everyone MUST play nicely (I will not risk the safety of my pups), if you want a treat you have to earn it, and don't fart next to Mom. If we all follow the rules and we all agree to put safety first, then we can focus on what really matters....playtime and cuddles.
Reviews

First time using Rover. Boarded our mini Goldendoodle for 2 days and nights. Kala kept us up to.date daily on Maxine's activities and adjustment to a new environment. We also got a daily photo of our pooch. Kala is very good with animals. Dogs are very intuitive and you can̈ tell immediately if your dog connects. Maxine almost jumped in her arms. We both agreed Maxine had a boarder when the need arises. Ì highly recommend Kala. She is caring and attentive plus daily updates and a photo.

Kayla is a consummate professional whose kindness and love of animals is immediately apparent. She is a trustworthy, loving person who I would not hesitate to leave my two pups with again!

Kayla was kind, flexible, and kept us up to date with how our boys were doing. She made a special spot for them to be comfortable in her own home and took them out for regular exercise and walks. Highly recommend Kayla!

Kayla always does a fantastic job with Riley and Cooper. She is great working with them and caring for them. They love getting walks with her and enjoying her company!

I specialize in dogs that need to be kept separated from other dogs. Every dog that stays with me will have their own bedroom and their own walk time and play time. This ensures that everyone stays safe while still getting the love and attention they deserve.

Again, this is a dumb question for Rover to require me to answer. I would rather have these conversations with each client personally if there are any questions or concerns. Most of the information about what's important for me to know can be found in my section about dog requirements. For example, it says I do not accept unaltered dogs or dogs that are not crate-trained.

Please feel free to ask me this yourself if you're curious. This is a dumb question for Rover to require me to answer. I'll partake in all the activities that are expected for a healthy and happy dog, such as walk time, play time, meal time, sleepy time, etc. Seriously, just ask me if you have any specific questions or concerns.

Right now, I have as much time as needed to dedicate to both your furbabies and my own furbaby. I look forward to building a client base in my new town of Sparta.
