Dog Lover!

Pet care experience

I rescued my first pup back in college roughly 10 years ago (Lucy. Best dog a girl could have) and ever since then, I’ve held a special place in my heart for dogs. I’m a total caregiver and genuinely enjoy taking care of and helping both people and animals. I would love to meet your dog and shower them with lots of love and attention while you’re away! ABOUT ME:: I signed up to be a dog sitter for Rover back in 2017 and was lucky enough to meet and care for lots of amazing dogs. I had my first daughter in 2018 and then a second daughter in 2020, so we took a little break from dog sitting to get settled in. Now that my girls are 2 and 4, we think it would be so much fun to welcome dogs back into our home again. I am a SAHM and love every minute of it!! We also have two wonderful dogs - Bella, an 8 year old (possible Rhodesian Ridgeback mix) and Sully, an 8 month old Aussiedoodle. We spend a lot of our time outside in our fenced in backyard, where the dogs have fun running and playing. AVAILABILITY & SCHEDULE:: Because I’m a SAHM, we’re home most of the day. My girls and I may step out here and there for a soccer practice, dance lesson, library, etc but the dogs are never alone for more than a couple hours at a time. My husband (Austin) is also a big dog lover and he loves helping out whenever he can. Whether it’s helping with drop off and pick up, taking the dogs on a walk, or simply playing with them, he is totally on board and also super reliable! OUR HOME:: We live in a two story home on James Island, however all stairs are blocked off with gates. Our backyard is totally fenced in and we have a combination of turf and pea gravel. The dogs have their own “doggy area” for doing their business. Our dogs love to play so your dog can feel free to jump in and have fun! But if you’re dog has more of a relaxed personality, that is great too because our dogs can definitely be lazy :) We welcome your pup to join our family and home away from home!

Kayla and Austin both love dogs. Their house and yard are an ideal environment with a large, fenced back yard. Their 2 dogs are cuties and got along great with Abby.

Kayla was a life saver taking my last minute request! I really appreciate the pictures and updates that I got, and I know my dog was in good hands. Bindi was exhausted for the next day after her stay, so I know she got plenty of exercise and really enjoyed playing with her new friends.

From the moment we arrived to drop off our furry family member, we knew Kayla would be an amazing friend for Zeus. As we got into the car to leave, he instantly bonded with her and did not look back. After returning from our vacation, we were amazed to hear that Zeus did not cry (as he normally does) while we were away. We will definitely be contacting her for our next getaway!

Kayla took great care of my goldendoodle while I visited my family on Kiawah Island. I was nervous as he is a 63 pound 11 month old puppy and I did not want to leave him at all. But Kayla made him a part of her family during the day and night that he stayed with her. He received lots of cuddles and love. I highly recommend Kayla for your dog!

I’m available to watch one additional dog to join our crew weekdays or weekends. We are pretty flexible with drop off and pick up times.
