Pet care experience
I have cared for animals of all kinds, from cats and dogs to horses, ducks, chickens, goats and emu. I've been the go-to pet and house sitter for friends and coworkers for years, and through their referrals my network has been expanding. I've checked in with pets throughout the day, implemented specific training routines, (including treat training, off-leash training, training collars and crate training) and bathed, exercised and fed dogs from 4 months old to 12 years old. I've also given both dogs and cats medications in their food, and cared for pets with kidney disease and seizures. Each animal has a unique set of needs and I love getting to know them and caring for them.

Kay did a great job with Zoe. Kay did everything I left my long list of guidance for taking care of Zoe and my apartment plants while I was away. She sent pictures and more pictures upon request and I came home to a clean tidy space just as I left it. Thank you Kay I’ll look for you again when I go away next
Kay is an extremely responsible, caring and fun pet sitter, and there's no one I feel more comfortable leaving my dog with or watching my house. (Disclosure: She's also my sister, and a great one!) She has tons of experiencing watching dogs and cats for friends and family. The safety and security of the animals she's caring for is her top priority, and she's very responsible and organized. But she also goes the extra mile to make sure the pets she's watching have a lot of fun and feel happy and cared for. She's very empathetic, and a happy pet makes her happy.

I love bringing pups along on trail runs, biking, hiking, or just neighborhood walks, no matter the weather. I work in our local parks every day and I've gotten to know Bellingham trail systems well!

Kay can watch in your home
Availability
I work for a non-profit between 25 and 35 hours a week (alternating) so I have anywhere from 2-4 days off per week where I have plenty of time for pet/house sitting. I also have evening availability most weekdays and will have weekday mornings available come winter.
