Pet care experience
We are a dog-loving home, looking to help you take care of your obedient, fun-loving friend, whether it’s a daily walk, daycare, or overnight stay at my home. I am open to having two furry friends at the same time. I will help reinforce training of good habits, rewarding good behavior, and handling any issues with positivity and patience. While you are away, your dog will be cared for in a single-family home with a family of two adults with no children in the home. I am present in the home, I’m all about your dog! Your dog will be out and about in a walking-friendly community with well-lit, paved paths, areas meant for exploring, and dog-friendly neighbors, shops, and families. Our home can provide a medium or large crate so you don’t have to bring one; but we will need your dogs' favorite treats, toys, and food. We happily provide bowls and have a spare 6’ leash. I crate only if needed and allow freedom of the main home areas. You can receive regular updates, selfies, or check-in with us. Send me your requests with dates and information - I’d be so happy to hear from you. Thank you for considering me. About me? I recently said goodbye to my desk job after 28ish years (yikes!) and spend my time writing Children’s Books. The writing is fantastic; however, I am also excited to team with you in caring for your best friend. Since I was a small child, animals have been my life. Being a pet parent, I understand your concerns, your requests, and what is necessary to have a happy and peaceful furry friend. Why I love dogs I have loved dogs since I was born. My training and handling experience is with characters of all sizes (from Burmese Mountain Dogs to tiny poodle mixes). I truly love them all and have always had several dogs in my life. They have been my constant companion as I explore the world, trained horses, or found myself acting as a human caretaker. With a heavy heart, I will share that I recently parted with my best friend of 13 years, a Brussels Griffon. As you know, the heart takes time to heal. My experience administering medication I have experience with and am comfortable administering medication. I have administered oral and injectable medication. I would work with you on what is needed and expect a one-on-one coaching session, just to be sure we’re successful and all medication is delivered. What would I like to know about your dog? Before sitting with your furry family member I would like to know: 1) Age 2) Are they potty trained/crate trained? 3) Do they need medication administered daily? 4) Are they aggressive towards other animals or people? 5) What is your biggest concern with a pet walker? 6) Let’s just talk so I can understand the kisses, pets, wags, barks, circle-three-times-then-two-more moments, and other “must do’s” or special needs.

Information Kay M. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs. I have extensive experience with senior and disabled pets, keeping them active at their level, having the patience to ensure their needs are met, it's ok to have an "oops", knowing sleeping and "just looking" is a priority, and giving them the space to ensure they're happy.
A typical day
Dogs love to explore - I live in a dog-friendly area that will have your dog seeing new sights, sniffing and exploring, and living a happy dog day. I am conscientious about the heat/cold - adjust and adapt to each dogs needs.
