My life has always been centered around the animals in it. I’ve had dogs throughout the vast majority of my life including a Springer Spaniels, English Beagles, and various mixed breeds. With these animals I trained them basic commands such as: sit, stay, shake, and return. I started training my families beagles bird hunting commands prior to leaving for college so I sadly was never able to complete their training. I’ve also cared for various dogs in the later stages of their life. My best friend, Freckles, needed a lot of medication mostly in pill form as an old man. He hated those stupid pills so we had to get really good at hiding them. I learned how to calm him down during a seizure and to carry him outdoors when he needed to. As a caregiver for the elderly I also regularly cared for their animals. Which included walking, feeding, bathing, and companionship similar to my duties for their owners. I’ve also helped in the birthing process and have experience with caring for newborns. As a teen I lived on a farm and cared for various other animals including goats, chickens, guinea fowl, and cows. All of which I’ve administered medication for. Currently my cat Pelor is my buddy. He’s my care animal and got me through the tough times brought to me by college. He’s never really interacted with dogs before so I do not recommend reaching out to me for sittings in my home until I can see how he does with an animal I’m familiar with. But I am more than willing to go the distance to care for your animal.
