I raised rabbits, chickens, and guinea pigs for 4-H… and jumped on every opportunity to be around all types of animals; even spent time helping at horse and goat barns of family friends! 🐰🐥🐹🐴🐐 Over the years, I also lived with a menagerie of other pets including cats, mice, fish, lizards, parakeets, and cockatiels! 🐱🐭🐠🦜 As soon as I hit my teens, I started volunteering at the local animal shelter and helped on a therapeutic horse ranch. I even attended horse camp a couple times in the summer. By 18, I was lucky enough to land a job working as veterinary assistant! 😺🐶🐴 While I was in college, I started pet sitting for veterinary clients… one thing led to another and I ended up licensing, bonding, and insuring my own professional pet sitting and dog walking LLC. I ran that business for four years (back home in WA state) before relocating to TN a couple years ago.
