Pet care experience
I’ve been an animal lover since before I could even walk. As a child I grew up around horses, cats, dogs, reptiles, fish, you name it! I’ve always had a passion for caring for these innocent creatures, and believe it’s essential that they get the care and education they need and deserve! I currently work in Veterinary Medicine, at a local emergency and specialty hospital. I have experience with grumpy animals, happy animals, and everything in between!

She’s amazing with our doggie.
Katy did an awesome taking care of our cat! She was so friendly and kept us updated with lots of picture of how he was doing.
Thank you! And great job!
Katy, you are amazing! Thank you so much for all of your help watching and caring for our two doggies over Thanksgiving. It is comforting knowing they are well cared for in our absence. Thank you for being flexibility and helping us with a couple last minute extra visits. You are awesome! Thanks again.

I currently live right outside of downtown Salt Lake City, within a 5 minute drive or walk to several parks and hiking trails! There’s lots of room for fun activities like fetch, playing with the “flirt pole”, tug of war, and whatever else shenanigans we can get into!!! I also live close to 2-3 different dog parks that I plan on utilizing, if your dog is a social butterfly. 🦋🐕 I do have a German Shepherd, who is 4 years old. She is a trained service dog , and has extreme obedience training. She LOVES other dogs, but if your dog isn’t friendly, they don’t have to meet! I also have a 6 year old German shepherd with extreme mental and cognitive disabilities. He has cerebellar hyperplasia, which causes him to walk funny. He does have a specific care and medication routine that has to be followed strictly. I take these things very seriously with my pets and yours! I have more dog toys than I should, all for sharing with you and your pups! I have many balls and types of chuck it’s to play with, frisbees, tug toys, stuffed toys, and interactive games too! When it comes to snacks, I like to make homemade dog treats made out of peanut butter, flour, and pumpkin! I’m a huge believer in food enrichment activities. frozen lick mats with fresh fruit and Greek yogurt to keep their mind and taste buds occupied while under supervision. Happy dog = happy life! 🦴🐶 I plan to spoil and love your pup, mi casa es su casa! 🐾🏡

Information Katy L. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know of any behavioral issues your dog has, or any training goals you’re working on! I’m happy to work training or any specifics into daily routines. I’m happy to administer any sort of medication, injection or pills. I have a plethora of experience as this is something I do daily at work, and at home! Just let me know ahead of time so I can make sure they get the things they need on time.
A typical day
When the weather is kind to us, I love hikes or walks within the salt lake area. My favorite muddy getaway is taking the dogs to the great salt lake for a nice frolicking and play time, then a doggy spa day afterwards! I enjoy memory groves park, as well as the hiking trail it has to offer. ? I love simple sniff walks around the town, or obedience training in the park, or at home!
