Pet care experience
I've taken care of dogs across all ages since I was a child caring for my own two Golden Retrievers. I have experience ranging from puppy-sitting to caring for senior dogs. With puppies, I have maintained a regular schedule with frequent potty breaks and walks while they still learn potty-training, in addition to following training rules as directed by the parents. With senior dogs, I have experience administering medications and monitoring energy levels and demeanor in order to cater to each dog's needs. My own Golden lived until age 14, and I learned to anticipate her evolving needs as she aged, while also showing her the utmost compassion and care that she deserved. Now that I have moved out of my family home, I deeply miss the time I was able to spend with dogs and the mutual positive impact we had on each other's lives. I hope to experience that again by caring for your pets through Rover! I am able to keep up with dogs of all ages, energy levels, and sizes, and I am excited for the opportunity to meet your furry family member! :)

Katy took care of my twelve-year-old sweet lab mix Tanner a couple times and she was absolutely wonderful with him. He needs some routine extra care with special food and medicine and he never seemed to miss a beat when I would return after being away. Any time we would be chatting when coming and going or during our meet and greet, he really favored her and showed her lots of love--and Tanner can be selective with who he's overly affectionate to. I give Katy nothing but compliments every time she helps me out, and Tanner definitely sends them her way too. She's also great at responding and is really easy to work with in terms of scheduling and passing along special info. I couldn't be more thankful that I don't have to worry when I'm out of town.
Katy took great care of our puppy while we were gone. She gave him lots of potty breaks. She updated us throughout the day and sent pictures. When she first arrived, she noticed his ear was bothering him and she took care of him by cleaning it. She’s super great to work with and we highly recommend her!
Katy has cared for our children over a long period of time and has been the very best babysitter. She is very comfortable with responsibility and knows her limits with safety for herself but also our kids. While she was our sitter she was also caring for her horses and other horses at her barn. I depended on Katy and was not ever double checking on her while she was working for us.

A typical day
I love to play with dogs inside or out! Some of my favorite games to play with dogs are fetch and tug-of-war (if it's safe), and I'm more than happy to simply chase and be chased by your dog if that's their favorite way to expel energy! We can also spend time on walks checking out all of their favorite smells and spots around the neighborhood or at the park. At the end of the day, I'm happy to curl up with your pet and have some quiet time while they snooze away.
