Pet care experience
Hi I’m Katy I’ve lived with animals my whole life from helping train working Springer Spaniels to adopting an anxious and reactive rescue cat and helping her regain her trust in humans and other animals. As well my personal experience I also have paid dog and house sitting experience. I’m confident with dogs and cats and recognise the behaviours and needs of those that might be a little anxious.
Reviews
Katy was really helpful and was able to help us out over Christmas at very late notice. She updated us after each visit and from the look of the photos she sent, the cats loved her!
Katy and Tom were brilliant house sitting whilst we went on a week's holiday. They were great with our dog Twig who can be a bit on the nervous side, whilst also feeding and taking care of our cat Norman. We were sent regular updates throughout the week and photos of Twigs adventures whilst we were away which our daughter enjoyed. The house was clean and tidy when we returned. We have already booked Katy in again to look after Twig whilst we are away for a day trip in a few weeks. I would highly recommend both Katy and Tom.
Katy & Tom we're great, arrived on time and took good care of our pooch for a weekend. He was happy and tuckered out when we got back. The house was nice and tidy, very friendly nice people. Would defo recommend ?.
Katy stayed at our place and looked after our cat. She was great with the cat, she came round to meet us all before our stay, and made sure she knew everything about feeding etc and they seemed to bond quite quickly! She left our house clean and tidy. I’d definitely recommend her for pet sitting!

When pet sitting and dog walking I would have a discussion with you beforehand to find out exactly what works best for you and your furry companion/s. I would follow your training method/commands so as not confuse your pets as well as sticking to their usual routine as much as possible. I would say I am good at recognising and respecting animals body language and communication so I wouldn’t push them and would go at their pace.
Information Katy D. would like to know about your pet
To provide the best possible care and make sure everyone has the best experience and feels relaxed I would need to know beforehand any particular diet requirements, if they have any medication, if there is any triggers that could potentially cause reactive behaviour, if there is any local areas to avoid or any areas you would prefer them to be walked.
A typical day
Each pet is individual so I’d find out from you and from your pet exactly what they like and how to start their day off in the best way. If they need lots of stimulation then I would provide them with lots of different games and offer some trick training as well as lots of time outdoors. If they are an older animal who likes to chill more and get that much needed rest then we’ll seek out the best sunbathing spots and do exactly that.

From the 12th January I am away travelling for roughly 3-4 months so will sadly not be available for any sits during this time. In the summer months I work at the festivals, please check my calendar for my availability.
