I have fostered for a rescue for years. I am not intimidated by special needs and medication. Just one household at a time so not taking dogs from separate household at the same time. I've owned dogs in the past but are enjoying the freedom of not having my own dogs right now. I do have another responsible adult in the household and a couple of part time teenagers but I would not delegate responsibility to them. No small children in the household. We have a large yard and it is fully enclosed. However it is a corner lot and 3/4 of the fence line does not have a neighbor on the other side. For this reason, I am only a match for dogs about 20 pounds and up. Pups who are the same width as a picket or who could squeeze under the fence like a bunny rabbit are just not a great match for this fence line. In August of 2022 I replaced the natural turf with artificial turf. It has Envirofill instead of rubber pellets, but still needs to be managed by short water cycles to allow for evaporative cooling. This is only needed in warmer temps (70 and higher) with direct sunlight. The early morning and evenings are not a problem because of the trees in the yard casting shadows. I am happy to schedule a meet and greet at my house so you can check everything out. Please be prepared to schedule the meet and greet within a week of making the booking request (most evenings and weekends are available). If you are not able to schedule a free meet and greet soon after the booking request, please consider scheduling a paid half day or something to hold a time. Rover tends to show an unbooked request as unavailable on the sitter's schedule.
