I recognize the enormous trust that is required to feel safe leaving your pet in the care of someone else. I have taken care of other people's pets for years, and it is something I take very seriously. I go to great lengths to learn as much as possible about the needs of the pet (both the obviously critical as well as the more nuanced aspects). I have been an educator for over 20 years as an elementary and middle school classroom teacher and then university academic advisor. I'm not saying these two professions are perfectly analogous, but I do want to point out that I've been extremely successful in cultivating the trust of people whose favorite living beings are in my care. My current schedule as a part-time massage therapist allows for overnight stays, multiple visits to your pet during the day, and walks either in your neighborhood or via transport in my car to special dog parks, etc. Please know that my part-time employment means that very young/brand new puppies and/or kittens probably can't get as much "full-time" attention as they need.... but otherwise, I have plenty of time during each day to provide love and attention and nourishment as needed!!!
