Pet care experience
I grew up in a farm taking care of our dogs, cats, chickens, goats, sheep, geese, and other farm animals. I am a part-time dog owner as I share custody of my 95 lbs American bulldog, Floyd; he is pure joy and energy. He loves attention, chasing squirrels, and going for a zillion walks/hikes a day. My friends and family tell me he's spoiled rotten. I will post my availability for the days Floyd is not with me, so that your pet can receive one-on-one attention and all the love it needs. If later down the road, you'd like your pet to share Floyd's company we can talk about it as well! Your pet will be loved and taken care as if it were my own.

Katrina was so amazing! She loved Luna so much and sent so many pics, Luna looked like she had the best time ever with her. She went on many adventures and I felt very comfortable leaving Luna with her and would do it again!!
Katrina was absolutely amazing with my pets! I have 2 rabbits, and Katrina was amazing with them. She kept me updated, and engaged with them during the time she spent doing her drop ins! I was able to enjoy being out of town without worrying about my buns, which meant the world. She is very trustworthy as well, and I felt safe with her having access to my home.
Katrina takes good care of my dog and if I need anything extra she is happy to do it.
Katrina took care of my dog while I was out of the country. He went on daily outings; the lake, the park, on a hike. She sent me daily pics which I very much appreciated; he looked like he was on vacation too! She is easy going, quick to respond to texts. I would absolutely trust her to take care of Moose again!

I would prefer to care for pets that are friendly with other animals and people. It is important for me to know what your pet's preferences and routines are, their likes and dislikes, as well as their temperament.
A typical day
Play fetch, walk around the neighborhood, hike/walk the Blue Ridge Parkway, Pisgah Forest, Bent Creek, the NC Arboretum, or simply walk outdoors nearby a river. I love being outdoors!

Availability
I work full-time in the school system, so my availability increases on the weekend. In the summer, I will be off Friday- Sunday. Weekdays: If your pet is used to being at home for an 8-hour day, I can care for it in the morning and evening before and after work. Weekends: Your pet will have all the attention and care it needs. Depending on your pet's interests and energy level, we can snuggle, play, and go for long (or short) hikes in nature or to a park nearby, if you feel comfortable with it.
