Pet care experience
I grew up in the countryside in a household with cats and dogs. I took care of friends' pets and my parent's dog, a German Shepard, who is now old and needs lots of extra care. I love spending time with them. They all have their own personalities and can be so silly at times. I would love to have my own dog or a cat, but I can't now, so I would love to take care of other people's pets instead. I also volunteer at a hospital for injured and orphaned wild animals called Wildlife Aid Foundation. I take care of various animals, such as birds and foxes.

Fabulous and reliable as ever
Katrien is our go-to sitter. Our puppy Otis adores her. Communication is a breeze and she is extremely reliable. Big thank you as always and we will be seeing her on a regular bases 😁🐶😁
Katrien was wonderful with our dog Grace. She was really responsive to me in her messages and was a great communicator. It was clear that Katrien was very sensitive to Grace’s needs and even though Grace can be a bit standoffish with strangers, she warmed to Katrien straightaway. Amazing sitter, who Grace hopes to see again soon! 🐾
Katrien was a lovely sitter. She was highly communicative and warm with our beloved Joy. I appreciated knowing I could leave Joy in a trusted pair of hands that also was very empathetic with her. Would happily have her back anytime!

I am used to being around other people and their belongings as I'm in charge of managing an AirBnB at home for the last 1.5 years. I would never do anything to betray their trust. I love animals and I am always really careful and kind with them, so I would never do anything to hurt them or forget to feed them. To me, both animals and humans need to be treated with respect.

A typical day
I love to take your dog along the river and, if possible, let him or her play in the water a bit. Or take him to a park or green spaces so there are a lot of smells he or she can explore. I won't take your dog to any of the deer parks, only parks without deer. At home, I love to play with them either in the garden or inside or cuddle up together on the sofa if the dog is allowed to sit on the sofa. I like to cuddle with them once in a while and fun around.

Availability
I'm currently unemployed and setting up an online company, so I am flexible in my working hours. This also means that I can work from your home while taking care of your pet when I have to work. On Wednesdays, I'm not free after 11am, as I volunteer at Wildlife Aid Foundation, a hospital for wild animals. Also, since I live in a house that does AirBnB and I manage it, I need to be home sometimes to clean and change the linens. So, when pet sitting at your home, I may need to leave for a few hours to take care of that. I will arrange the timings for walking your dog or feeding your pets in a way that optimizes care for both your pets and any guests.
