Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs my entire life, friends and family have relied on my expertise based on my lifelong experiences with dogs for training and care. I currently have 2 spoiled dogs (basically our babies) with my husband. An 11 year old yorkie named Ella who I rescued at 6 months old and a 3 year old Plott Hound/ Black Lab mix Oakley. Oakley was found by husband and I when we were on a roadtrip running on a highway in Oklahoma. This has allowed me to have hands on experience with a rescues working to build trust, train and setting them up to thrive. I treat every dog like my own. I take time to understand each dog as an individual by reading the dog’s behavior, energy and bread. This allows me to make sure I’m keeping them in situations that they feel safe, meeting their needs (play, exercise, affection) which allows me to build trust. I truly believe all dogs are amazing gifts and only deserve the best!

Katlyn is the best! She is an amazing pet sitter who takes excellent care of my fur babies. She is extremely warm, friendly, and professional. Both my 11 year old lab mix and two year old husky love and enjoy her visits! They enjoy their long walks and play time in the local dog park. It is truly a relief to have found someone I can trust to care for my pets!
I’ve know Katlyn for around eleven years and she is extremely compassionate, and a very dependable pet owner. She cares for other people's pets as she would her own. Katlyn walks my dog, Duncan every now and again. Duncan is a 90lb Mastiff Mix, so I know he can be a handful sometimes. He couldn’t be happier to see Katlyn every time the two of them take a walk. Duncan always comes back with a smile on his face. Katlyn sends wonderful photos of their happy journeys. I enthusiastically recommend Katlyn as a conscientious and caring dog walker. You will not be disappointed.

In our home our two dogs get separate walks which allows them personal time as well as bonding time with myself or my husband. Since they are very different breeds (yorkie and hound/lab mix) their needs are different by doing separate walks we are able to meet both their unique needs which leads to very happy dogs. They both receive multiple walks a day for anywhere from 15 minutes- 1+ hour. We usually give them 2 longer walks and multiple shorter walks in-between. Inside the home they get brain game toys to help them with mental stimulation which is great for very high energy or active dogs. Our dogs are our family so they have free reign to sleep on couch/bed and of course close snuggles are always encouraged!

I currently work part-time from home with a flexible schedule. I understand the importance of my own dogs need for not only exercise but mental stimulation, this is why I work my life and schedule around the needs of my dogs.
