I have deep empathy for all animals with 20 years of experience caring for cats and dogs. I have dog and puppy sit for numerous families across Washington, Canada, the Netherlands, and Germany. I make it my mission to engage with the animals as much as possible to ensure they are cared for. I am also passionate about making sure the doggos get their energy out through walks, hikes, runs, and playing with them. I have experience watching dogs and cats overnights and administering oral medications for both. Personally, I cared for my black lab "Shrimp" for the years he was with us and raised and cared for my two cats until their ages of 19 and 20. All in all, I am prepared to give my undivided attention and care that all animals deserve.

Katlyn has watched my dog and two cats on numerous occasions and is always timely, professional, and clean. I always return to my apartment cleaner than I left it and my pup happy and tired from lots of hiking and adventures. She is particularly good with cats and even my cat that hates everyone, hates her a little less. While I am away she sends me updates and photos of all my pets which always makes me feel comfortable knowing they are happy and in good hands. I will continuously use her for pet care!

Having 5+ years of nannying, house-sitting, and pet-sitting experience and living internationally, I am prepared for a variety of home styles and different routines families have set for their companions. I make sure to keep up "baby"-gates if the dogs are not allowed in certain areas and watch them so they do not eat anything they are not supposed to. I also ensure that the doggos have ample time outside to get out energy and do their business (depending on the house/property I will also make sure that any waste is picked up around the yard, farm or acreage and disposed of properly.)

I love to know the dogs' normal routine and schedule, if they need any medications, and if they have any medical history (such as hip problems, or cataracts). I also love knowing which toys are the dog's favorite, how they like to play, their typical energy throughout the day, if they are good with other dogs on walks, and how they interact with strangers.
A typical day
I love hiking in the Blanchard, Baker, and Samish areas with dogs. I have experience playing tug-o-war, running with dogs, and can pace playtime how each dog needs it. I am prepared for high-energy puppies, hiking with adult dogs in rain, snow, and in the sunshine, and also take care knowing to be less energetic with senior dogs who may have hip/ leg problems.

Availability
I no longer have pets of my own, and enjoy caring for others'. I will babysit my friend's dogs and take them for walks and hikes in my off-hours and lunch breaks. ~ I wake up around 4:30 every morning as I work 6-3 so make sure to give ample time to take the dogs I care for on a morning walk, lunch walk, and afternoon/evening walk. I will make sure that the cats I house sit for also receive attention when they want it.
