Pet care experience
Hello everyone! My name is Kat and I’m happy you’ve taken the time to review my profile. My husband Bradley is also listed, because he sometimes helps me on longer house sitting stays but I’m the one primarily caring for our furry clients. He gets to be the fun visitor who plays catch occasionally when he visits, while I handle more of the routine feedings, bathroom breaks, medications and so on. Kat is always the contact person for all pet care needs, but Bradley gets to be the bonus extra help. You’ll meet both of us before we care for your animals. I have experience working in Veterinary Clinics/Boarding facilities, and Doggie Daycares in the past. I have previously given giving oral medications, insulin shots for diabetic dogs, and cared for pets with disabilities. I am currently only available, house sitting your pets in your home, and drop in visits at your home. I am happy to take your pet for walks, car rides, or any other outing as you see fit. While I watch them we can do as much or as little activity as your pet prefers. Please reach out to me for any questions regarding my services.

When I’m not in the home with your pet we will discuss what their normal routine is. If your pets are used to being in crates while you’re away then I would do the same. If they’re used to having free roam of the house then I’d do the same. I try to keep pets in their normal routine as much as possible when their owners are away.

Please let me know how long your dog is able to be left unattended. I get my schedule for my other job a few weeks in advance, so I may be able to move my shifts around to accommodate your pets needs if I’m aware in advance!
A typical day
For a typical day I would wake up and take the dogs outside (or walk them if that’s what they’re used to), feed breakfast, and ensure they’ve got plenty of water and had any medications needed. If I have to work my part time job it’s usually only for about 5 hours, so I’d be away for 5-6 hours depending on driving time, and then we’d go outside again. In the late evenings I like to make sure they get plenty of play time so they’ll sleep good overnight. When I meet new clients I ask lots of questions about their daily routine because I try my best to feed and take walks at their usual time schedule. If the timing doesn’t work for my work schedule that is when my husband may assist me with taking the dogs on walks if needed to ensure they’re getting the proper care they deserve.

I’m currently a part time barista so I’m usually able to walk dogs and feed them in the morning before work, and then I’m home by early afternoon for walks and play time.
