Pet care experience
I have three dogs of my own... a male Boxer (age 8), a male Dalmatian (age 3) and a female Dalmatian (age 4.5 months). I've raised each of them from pups and am well versed in potty training, crate training and basic obedience training. I also volunteer as a transporter and foster mom for two large rescue organizations in the state of FL. I actually rescued my youngest pup as a transporter. She was only supposed to be a temporary foster, but she stole all of our hearts in a mere few days, and she joined our family almost instantly! Like the saying goes, "she CHOSE us!" And we are so glad she did. She and I are working on her basic obedience with aspirations to get her into an agility program and hopefully set her up to be a therapy dog once she's an adult! In my spare time, I self study animal behavior and nutrition and am pondering a career change into animal health.

Katlyn has a passion for dogs! Her life revolves around her own dogs but yet she finds time to give back and support animal rescue and is very active assisting new dog owners with questions and guidance. She treats and loves dogs like her children.
She really enjoys being around dogs on a daily basis. Friendly, nice and loving are just a few words to describe her by. Easy going and flexible at all hours of the day!

I will follow a client's wishes. If they want a pup in their crate while at home alone, the pup will go in their crate. If a pup is working on training, I will continue with their training while they are in my care. Consistency is key when a pup is missing their owner, and I will do whatever is necessary to ensure the pup stays on its regular schedule. I will also love on them as if they are my own!

I love all dogs and all breeds, of all ages (I've become an expert at the puppy phase!). Let me know if they need any special medications or have any dietary restrictions. Although I don't currently have any reviews (new to this site), I am happy to provide references upon request.
A typical day
A typical day will mimic a pup's usual day as much as possible. Like I said above, consistency and routine is essential to ensuring a pup is happy and healthy while missing his/ her family! Fun Activities: -Since I am currently learning training with my youngest pup, I would incorporate any new training with the pup (if that's of interest)! -I love taking a pup on sniffaris around the neighborhood (or wherever else a client recommends near their home). -If it's okay with the client, I enjoy taking pups on adventures to Petco, Petsmart, Lowe's, etc. for socialization and training. -At the client's home, I enjoy putting together lick mats, snuffle mats, treat balls, or any other puzzles a pup might enjoy for mental stimulation. -If a pup is more of a couch potato, I don't mind taking a break and giving the pups snuggles. -If requested, I am also happy to socialize your pup with mine (but only if this is agreed upon beforehand! Not all dogs get along, and safety is paramount!). -Etc. Happy to take any special requests to make the pup happy!

Availability
I currently work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I am available Sunday-Saturday from early morning to late evening and make my own hours. If you need last minute help, let me know! I am also a full time resident of Naples and own my home, so I am not going anywhere!
