NYC Dog Walker Misses Best Job Ever

Dogs have been a crucial part of my life since I was little. I was a dog walker in NYC for 5 years, and dogs are without question the best! I consider some of my best friends dogs, so please let me become friends with yours!

Katie is a phenomenal dog walker/sitter/caregiver, turned “Godmother” to our 3 y/o Bulldog, Ruth. She is dependable, loving, respectful and incredibly kind to Ruth. So much so, I’m convinced Ruth gladly appreciates the break from her paw-parents when she gets to see Katie. She’s very flexible with locations, either coming and staying at our condo for an extended multi-day/night watch, or if it’s just for the day, she gladly welcomes Ruth into her condo, and makes her feel comfortable and right at home. We literally couldn’t trust her more with ensuring Ruth has the utmost care under her watch. She even Facetimes us ,checking in, on overnight trips. The peace of mind I get from those check-ins can’t be put into words. Katie gets an infinite amount of gold stars from the Finn/Roy family. We’re lucky to know her and don’t know what we would do without her.
Katie watches our 10 year old Lab/Beagle mix when we go out of town and cannot bring him. We tried kennels but you could tell from the moment we walked into each one that his stress level was through the roof, so I asked Katie to watch him. I cannot stress enough how good she is with dogs and how much he loves hanging out with her. Katie is a responsible, caring and dedicated person and one of the few people who I trust watching my dog! Highly recommend!

I'd like to know the temperament of the dog, how they are with other dogs, as well as how they are with new people. I think it's also important to know about any training that should be maintained and any food allergies or aversions.
A typical day
I love to walk dogs and allow them to explore all the fun smells and sights in our neighborhood (there are plenty)! I also love taking dogs that are able to the dog park to let them blow off some steam and meet new friends!
