Pet care experience
I have taken care of pets my whole life. I have walked dogs/ been a dog sitter on and off for the last ten years. I volunteer at the greater portland animal shelter, I help assist a dog training class there and am working towards becoming a certified dog trainer. That being said, I also love cats!! I am known as a crazy cat lady (in the best way), and will give all of your animals care and love.

Katie is amazing with all animals--she shines with dogs and cats but I would trust her with any pet at all. She is trustworthy, responsible, super loving, playful, and firm when needed. She has cared for our rescue dog many times over the years, has her own dog and cat, and she volunteers at a shelter where she walks dogs and loves on any critter lucky enough to cross her path. I would recommend her to anyone in need of a sitter, walker, or anything pet related.

Any behaviors you are working on, or concerns you may have about your dogs behavior in public (i.e. should I let them meet dogs on leash? Would you prefer we not interact with other animals or people? Is your dog comfortable being approached by other dogs while on leash or off?)
A typical day
I believe dogs need both physical and mental stimulation! We will go on walks or sniff-aris! Enrichment toys such as snuffle mats, kongs and treat dispensers will help tire your pup out mentally!

My schedule is very flexible, I can work with you to find the right fit. For my dog, we take her on two short walks a day and one longer walk in addition to daily enrichment and training!
