Hi, I'm new to Rover, but don't let that stop you from booking with me! I have 10+ years of experience with animals, professionally and personally. I've been bringing home strays, babysitting, and being a caregiver for animals since the single digits. I've been heavily involved with animals and ag classes through out high school, and knew early that's what I wanted a career in! My resume includes over 3 years of experience as an animal shelter kennel tech and ACO, and well over 5 years of volunteering with rescues. I've fostered dogs and cats, transported countless animals, and walked and babysat many animals over the years. I am not medically trained through professional means, but have tons of personal experience. In my personal life, I have 3 dogs of my own and 4 cats. I'm a short-term foster for dogs on occasion, and always have foster cats in the home. I've owned and cared for many different breeds, and am experienced with seniors, puppies, kittens, and pets with medical needs. I have cared for pregnant cats and dogs and have raised animals from newborn to geriatric. I've trained multiple dogs over the years, many of which went on to recieve their "AKC canine good citizen" award, and one who has been certified as a therapy dog. I hope to expand to in-home daycare and boarding in the near future, but for now, I would love to take your pet for walks or adventures around the town, do drop-in visits to feed and play with your pet, and would even be happy to do drop in visits just for some poop-scooping and a little playtime afterward. I own poodles who require regular grooming that I have mostly done myself for the better part of 10 years, so I know my way around a brush and bathtub! I would be happy to give a bath or brush out your dog during an extending drop in visit! (I've also been known to bathe and brush out cats). I'm not a certified trainer, but I have a lot of personal experience, and would be happy to work on basic commands and manners while on walks or drop in visits. I believe in positive reinforcement training, and use methods taught by akc approved trainers.
