Dog trainer who misses her pets back in the USA!
Pet care experience
I used to teach dog training classes on obedience, agility, and tricks! I am a Cambridge student who is missing her dogs back in the USA and has lots of experience in pet-sitting. While I usually pet-sit dogs, I also have pet-sit for rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, chickens, goats, llamas, and cats. My grandma is a rabbit breeder for Flemish Giants, and I have extensive knowledge with rabbits and guinea pigs. I am also good with senior dogs and puppies and have lots of experience training and caring for them. I used to show my dogs in obedience and agility since I was 9 years old, so I have grown up always in dog training communities! I love training with positive reinforcement. My dogs are still with my parents in the US, but I still organize all the vet contacts, care instructions, and medication ordering for my senior dog. I also used to volunteer teaching classes for kids on how to care for their dogs, rabbits, and guinea pigs, including healthy living for their pets, first aid, and grooming.

Katie was my daughter's 4-H leader (dogs/bunnies/chickens) who proved to be very caring and knowledgeable about animals - and kids! For several years, whenever my family left town for a weekend or a 10 day summer vacation, Katie took amazing care of two large dogs, three cats, 10-12 chickens, two horses, and several bunnies! I never worried for one minute about my animals because I knew they were in wonderful care. I cannot recommend Katie enough - she will love and care for your animals as if they were her own!
Katie is a responsible, knowledgeable, loving pet sitter. She took great care of our 2 dogs following all of our directions to keep them on their daily schedules. I highly recommend Katie for your furbabies, too!

As a previous dog trainer, I am good at reading if animals are uncomfortable with a new stranger and will take any interactions slow and respectfully to build a bond with your pet. I also want to check with you to see if your animal has any special needs, for instance, my old dog back in the UK has some complex senior care routines.

A typical day
I love to take dogs on walks through different areas that are both quiet enough for the dog to not get too stressed but also gets them used to walking and playing in public. If you are okay with it, I love teaching dogs tricks! I also know various games to play with dogs or always just love a good game of fetch.
