Hi, My name is Katie! I’m a Philadelphia native and primarily serve the Philadelphia and Delaware Country areas. I’m a full time Veterinary Nurse working towards my Bachelors in Pre-Veterinary Medicine, with hopes of attending Vet School one day! I’m RESCUE certified in Basic and Advanced Life Support for small animals (cats&dogs), as well as Certified Fear Free. In addition to my veterinary medicine experience, which is mainly in wellness, urgent care, and surgical medicine, I have experience with foster/rescuing. I would be so happy to extend a hand in your pets daily care when life calls you away!

I understand how stressful not having their owner home can be for a fur baby, and thus prefer caring for these kids in their own environment, where they’re the least stressed. This can look like overnight stays (if requested), or just popping in periodically for walks, care, and enrichment. I’m flexible with the needs of my clients, and value comfort and calm for the animals I tend to!

It’s more shocking than not when a pet DOES enjoy a stranger in their home- especially when their parent isn’t home! Knowing your pet’s anxieties and triggers ahead of time, as well as things they have preferences towards, will help me create a care plan catered to their needs. My priority is a stress-free and enjoyable experience for your pet!
A typical day
I’m open to enrichment of all types! Since I’m typically the main source of physical activity for the pets I’m watching, that usually takes priority. Ensuring the pets physical needs are met helps to lessen their anxiety and overall improve their mindset and comfortability while their owners aren’t home!

I’m a full time veterinary technician, which usually means 3-4 shifts a week. Because of this, I often have many days free and would love to continue to extend a hand to animals in that free-time.
