Pet care experience
I’m a dog mom who’s helped raise the family’s two shih tzus for the last twelve years. They are the loves of my life. I’m devoted and playful and always eager to meet more furry friends. I work part time as a production assistant in the entertainment industry and I’m looking to make a little extra income. This sounds like the perfect solution: there are few things in life I love more than dogs❤️ Unfortunately I’m allergic to cats so I can’t pet-sit in homes with cats. I’ve also recently been diagnosed with mild asthma, so I can only pet-sit for dogs that don’t shed. I can still walk and drop in on them, however! I’m also an artist and a writer in my late twenties who gets a lot of creative inspiration from dogs. I’m reliable and flexible and weather conditions do not bother me. I will be there rain or shine!

Katie walked our puppy Mocha for the first time last week. We were looking for someone else to help us out during the day while we work from home, in order to give Mocha some extra socialization and exercise. This was Mocha's first time being walked by someone other than her parents and I was worried Mocha wouldn't behave. Mocha loved Katie and had a great time on her walk. Katie was very flexible and friendly and said Mocha listened to her. I was happy to have found someone trustworthy who made the process easy.
Katie was wonderful!!! She took amazing care of our two babies! When my elderly dog wouldn’t eat she let me know and she prepared alternative homemade food for her, which she ate!! We are very thankful for her close attention and loving care! We will definitely have her back!!
Update: Katie is now our weekly walker, visiting Leila 3x a week and has also helped us during some last minute schedule conflicts. She is wonderful!! We can not recommend her enough! She is punctual and is great about maintaining consistency with Leila’s training. We always get very detailed reports about each walk, which is so helpful. And she’s super accommodating and sweet. We are thrilled to have found such a great match for our Leila! :)

I would like to know if a dog has had all their shot and what commands they know (or that they understand basic commands) so I can best communicate with them. For overnight stays I’d like to know if a dog requires special care (deaf, blind, separation anxiety, etc) and/or requires medication. I want your four-legged friend and I to start off on the right paw: anything I can do to make that easier for them I will.
