Welcome to my home! I absolutely love animals and grew up with both cats and dogs (and horses!) and can't live without them! I will shower your dog with love and make sure their vacation to my place is like home away from home! I love walking outside with the pups and have a perfect patio and yard for fetch and enjoying the sun (and watching birds, chipmunks, and squirrels!) We have a very sweet and outdoor-loving pup named Izzy, who loves other dogs and really enjoys the company. On a typical day we will start out with a quick potty break in our yard before breakfast then take the dogs for a proper morning walk. Then when we get back we relax on the sofa (we have a very soft rug for those who are ground dogs and they get lots of snuggles and rubs of course!). Around 1pm we take the pups outside to play in our yard and in the early evening we take a 15 minute stroll around the neighborhood to get some great sniffs before dinner. Finally right before bed, we let them out in the yard again for a final pre-bed potty break. We can also take the dogs to the local dog park if that's something your dog loves to do! We ask that our guests come fully ready for fun with their crates and their preferred food and toys! Please let us know if there are any behavioral issues or quirks and we can discuss how to best handle them. We will also send you picture updates and provide a short summary of how their trip went, as we want to make sure that you and your dog have a worry-free vacation! I left my dog, Cooper, with Katie, Jim and Izzy for the weekend while I went to Richmond, VA which wasn't easy for me but I knew he was in great hands. As soon as I dropped Cooper off he immediately was off playing with Izzy and loving on Katie. Katie was extremely flexible with drop off and pick up. She kept me updated all weekend long sending me pictures and updates which I was so appreciative of since I was missing my little boy like crazy. I am so grateful for Katie and Jim taking Cooper in and for Izzy allowing Cooper to get some snuggles from her owners and some much needed playtime with a new dog friend. I knew Cooper had the best weekend when I came to pick him up and he did not want to leave. I would 100% recommend Katie to anyone out there who wants a loving and enjoyable stay for their fur baby while they're out of town. I will definitely be using Katie in the future for any pet sitting needs.
When our little fur baby barely greets us when we come to pick her up, we know she was treated very well!!! That was the case with this visit!!! We we be using Katie for all of our sitting needs!!!
I left my dog Charlie with Katie for the weekend while I went to NYC. Charlie doesn't always do well in new settings, and can be nervous around other dogs, but he had a GREAT time here. Katie was great about providing reassurance that he was playing and doing well. It's so nice having someone take care of your fur baby who loves them as much as you do.
Firstly, let me just say that after being gone for four days I assumed our dogs would be excited and happy to see us as they normally are when we pick them up from doggy day care. What we got instead was more along the lines of, "oh, you came back." Which to me says the dogs felt very much loved and at home with Katie and Jim. We got a sense that their home felt very welcoming right away. Katie sent us photos and gave us updates about our dogs everyday, which we appreciated very much. I would highly recommend Katie and Jim as a sitter for your furry loved ones and we will definitely use them again in the future.

I have a big 6ft fully fenced backyard to keep your fur babies safe and have fun! I am home most of the day and can keep a close eye on our guests. I am happy to crate your pet as needed (bring a crate and I’m happy to set it up in a quiet place) and can separate the dogs when I’m out of the house if they are not usually crated.

A typical day
A typical day includes waking up around 7:30a and letting the pups out for a morning sniff in the backyard while I make my coffee and breakfast. Then I feed the dogs before a morning walk. I take them out for an afternoon walk or play time in the backyard and then feed dinner around 5, but can adjust to your dogs schedule! I then do an evening walk around 7 and will let them out once more before bed.

I work from home full time so am flexible with walking schedules and have plenty of time to let the dogs hang out in the fenced back yard!
