I have grown up in a dog and cat household, always helping with feeding and walks. I have worked with dogs with separation anxiety and have experience giving them medication. I also have my own cat, Apollo, who I nursed and weaned as a kitten and take the health and happiness of very seriously. I have experience in animal husbandry with larger animals as well, such as pigs and sheep. I have some experience working with reptiles, such as bearded dragons, and I have a few years of experience taking care of rabbits. I also have some experience taking care of ducks (feeding, putting inside at night, changing pool water, working with electrical fence).

Katie was wonderful caring for our senior dog and cat while we were away. She provided regular updates and her communication was great. We highly recommend Katie and hope to be able to have her watch them again for future needs.
Katie provided twice-daily drop-in visits for my two cats over a 7-day period. She responded quickly and was always on time. From the great photos she included each visit, it was clear both cats enjoyed the attention they got from Katie. I will definitely seek her out for my next Rover booking.
Katie was great. My dog tends to be anxious but Katie made sure he was comfortable and my cat—who doesn't seem to like anyone—warmed up to her right away.

For cats, I refill the bowl when it is low but in Apollo's particular case I only put in 1/3 a cup scoop to manage weight. I try to fit in regular playtime, and I give lots of attention in the form of pets and cuddles. I reward good behavior with treats, especially when he behaves during situations where I must do something uncomfortable to him for his health, such as applying topical medication or grooming him. For dogs, I usually follow the care instructions given to me, as I'm aware that some dogs may need more or less in a scoop of food, or need to be fed at certain times of day, or fed together or separately. As well as adding treats if I have the owners permission (when the dogs have been good). I will also walk the dog however much as instructed, if instructed, and give the dog regular potty breaks.

A typical day
Your pets will get lots of play, and exercise. We will explore new smells, and they will recieve lots of pets, cuddles and love. I tend to talk to pets in silly voices and give them nicknames. I call my own cat "bub, bubba, buddy, my best friend" and "stinky".
