When I was born, I had 3 brothers, one human brother and 2 furry friends, Tigger, a cocker spaniel and Oakey, a golden retreiver . I was raised by those doggies. They were there to help me up when I fell learning how to walk, or cleaning up after me if I spilt my food--how generous! When Tigger and Oakey passed when I was 5 years old, I was dreaming and obsessing over a new pup. I worked hard brainstorming names for my next future puppy. After months of brainstorming, I decided on "Sport". Sport summed up everything I knew and loved. I was always running around on the soccer field, basketball court, track field. You name a sport, and I did it. When Sport, a furry little golden retreiver arrived at my house one Christmas morning, I knew I would never love something so much. As a young pup, when he wasn't sleeping, I was taking him out and about with me! (Full disclosure-- I wanted him to become the next Air Bud). Growing up in Northern California, I was lucky enough to take Sport on some long hikes. I loved watching him run up the hills to retrieve a tennis ball or a stick. We always had so much fun together. I do miss Sport, but I know that he would be happy to know I am continuing to run and hike dogs after he passed. I have been walking dogs, small to large, for 3 years now. In my profile, you will see me with Ramsey, a very high energy, German Shepard. Ramsey is my grandma's dog. He loves chasing squirrels and getting his belly rubbed! He also loves running and has helped me stay in shape! I can't wait to meet your pup! As of now, I am a grad student at Dominican University. I graduated from Purdue University having double majored in Dietetics/ Nutrition, Fitness and Health. I am now on track to becoming a registered dietitian as well as earning my MBA by May 2018. School and my internship sure get tedious, so I would love the chance to break it up by walking and playing with some young and old puppers! (All dogs are puppies to me!)
