Katie joined Rover last year, but has a lifetime of experience taking care of dogs. Born and raised as an only child, she grew up alongside dogs of all shapes and sizes (Norwegian Elk Hound, Golden Retrievers, Puggle, Golden Doodles, Schnauzer, Bichon, and more). From puppyhood to old age, Katie has seen every stage of a dog’s life and fully understands their behaviors and needs. As a working professional in her mid-twenties, she is a responsible young adult with an endless amount of energy and patience. Her adventurous spirit and fun-loving personality make her a natural fit with every dog she meets. To Katie, there is no better companion then a dog. LOCATION: I live in a spacious 1 bedroom apartment in River North with plenty of room for your dog to run around and play. Since my apartment complex is dog-friendly, there are always furry friends to stop and visit with in the hallway. I live near Lake Michigan, we can take long walks up and down the Lake Front. There are two dog parks less than 2 miles away from my apartment, as well as plenty of large grassy areas around the neighborhood to enjoy on-leash. TIMING: I work Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM. Since I live less than a mile away from work, my five minute commute allows me to have plenty of time in the morning with your dog, and get home to them right away after work. We go for a long walk every morning and night. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: When it comes to sleeping arrangements, I will abide to whatever rules you have set for your dog. Whether you prefer to have your dog sleep in my room, have full range of the apartment, or sleep in a crate/bed that you will need to provide, I will make sure your dog is as comfortable as possible.
