Hi! My name is Katie. Thank you so much for considering me to take care of your sweet fur baby(s). I like to say I'm "your pet's favorite aunt," because I truly become family with my clients' pets. I have loved and cared for all types of animals since I was a kid -- dogs, cats, goldfish, bunnies -- even horses! I'm sadly unable to have a pet of my own, so I relish the chance to be able to provide trustworthy, reliable, and fun care to your fur babies! While I am new to Rover, I have professionally housesat for the last 9 years for dogs and cats of all sizes, and it is my policy to always leave your home cleaner than you left it and with a happy pet ready to greet you at the door! The health, comfort, and safety of your pet comes first.

Katie has dog sat for our dog Hazel many times and she is amazing! Hazel is a large adult rescue Rottie mix who has some leash reactivity and doesn't do great with other dogs. Katie has always done an incredible job of avoiding other dogs in our dog-filled neighborhood, and managing Hazel's reactivity should they need to cross paths with another pup. I always feel comfortable knowing that Katie is the one watching Hazel and knowing that she can manage Hazel's quirks. Katie is also a great communicator, sends lots of updates, and will always check with us should any issues or questions come up. She's always one of my first calls when I go out of town!
Katie is a joy to work with! She is conscientious, capable and attentive and has years of experience with dogs of all sizes as well as cats and other pets. She is loving, patient and knowledgable about animal care. Your pets and home will be in great hands in her care!
Katie is a responsible and loving petsitter, having co-parented a cat with me and then cat-sat for us many times! She is extremely reliable and communicative, and I would trust her to watch my pet any time. If you hire Katie your pet will have a carer who is loving and responsible.

I will make sure your pet is able to maintain their normal day-to-day routine as much as possible, whatever their day-to-day routine looks like! I'm here to make their time away from you fun, stress-free, and full of love, and I will adjust to whatever their needs require. If there is anything I'm unclear about in their care routine during our time together, I will always contact you to make sure I'm giving your pet the best care possible. Also, of course, regular pictures of your pets will be sent upon request :) I love building long-lasting relationships with my clients, so if your pet is happy to see me upon return, then I have done my job!

FOR ALL PETS: -- What is your pet's usual daily schedule? (i.e. feeding times, usual walk times, etc.) It's important to me that your pet is comfortable during our stay and I believe keeping their regular routine is an important part of that! -- Does your pet have any dietary restrictions or medications that need to be administered during my stay? -- I love being in "staycation" mode while caring for your pet in your home, and upon booking, I will accommodate my schedule to make sure your pet is getting all the love and quality time they need! However, should there be a day I need to be away from your home for an extended period of time (e.g. more than 3 hours), knowing how long your pet is okay being in your home alone will help me make sure your pet remains comfortable and happy! If there is a day during my stay that I need to be away from your home for more than 3 hours, I will let you know upfront, and we can come to an agreement ahead of time. -- Please leave vet and emergency vet information with me, along with emergency contact information in case I am unable to reach you. FOR DOGS -- Are they friendly with other dogs and/or people? In general, with any dog I am caring for, I will keep a safe distance from other dogs or people when we're out and about, but if your dog has any particular sensitivities, please let me know! I have taken care of "dog sensitive" dogs before, so I can capably handle myself in those situations.
A typical day
I am here to cater to your pet's specific needs! For kitties, I love a good game with a feather toy or a treat toy. For my high-energy pups, nice, long walks and plenty of games of fetch or tug-of-war (fetch in the backyard pool is a favorite for one of the dogs I watch!), for my low-energy pups, a nice spin around the cul-de-sac and a quick game of tug-of-war if they're feeling feisty (I'll let them win, don't worry!). If there's a nearby park they love, I'm happy to take them there (on leash)! Snuggles on the couch are always good, too :)
