Pet care experience
I've been caring for pets part-time for 30 years! From cats, dogs, birds, to horses, goats, alpacas and almost everything in between. In 2023 I made the jump to full time Pet Care in my home. Extensive large bird experience, a dedicated cat room, puppy experience and more. I'm also certified in Pet CPR and First Aid (as well as the human version).

Katie was wonderful, came on time, was very attentive to Mila ensuring a fun time during her visit. Was also cautious of the frigid outdoor temperatures during the visit. Katie definately appears to"love her pet sitting job" and and does it very well.

Katie looked after our 7 month Viszla pup this past Thanksgiving. She was Amazing. Lots of walks and playtime with her boy, Cooper. We received daily updates and pictures. I wasn’t sure he wanted to leave! Katie and her family were very kind and loving. I wouldn’t hesitate to bring him back for another stay.

Bring your feathered or fuzzy friend for a full day of play or join us for a slumber party. Feathered and Feline friends have their own play areas with kitty cuddles or parrot chats. K9 friends enjoy the run of the fenced yard and main house with a built in playmate (my 4 year-old friendly labradoodle). I do have a 23 year-old amazon parrot that hangs out with the dogs (in her cage when we have extra dog friends over). Lots of walks and play time.

It's very important to fill out your pup's information completely. The most important thing I need to know is how they get along with other dogs since our pack varies from day to day. Any special medical concerns, medication, housebreaking concerns, etc.
A typical day
A typical day involves free play in the morning. We love to talk a long walk either through the woods behind my house or around the block in the morning followed by some downtime with a good chew toy to recuperate from the busy morning. We have active games or scent work and an afternoon walk. When the group is conducive and permission given, we'll take field trips to the Metroparks near home for some extra fun sniffy walks!

I'm available daily for Pet Care. I also offer Slumber Parties most nights. Most of my current clients are outside-the-home dog walking. I do still take in-home pets where the schedule allows.
