Hello and thank you for visiting my profile! My name is Katie. I am a 25 year old living in Saint Louis Park and working from home at multi-media advertising agency. Pets are my passion in life and caring for them, my expertise. I have raised two puppies, cared for elderly dogs, dogs smaller than 5 pounds, and dogs over 100 pounds! I am a very flexible sitter and walker and up for any challenge your pup may present. Weather it is socialization issues, a new injury or just a lot of energy, I am down for any job! Since I work from home my day is much more flexible than the average full time worker! Not only do I work remotely but my employer is flexible which allows pet care to be an easy process for me. I can easily make time with your pet work. I am a firm believer that your pet is a member of your family and in some ways possibly even thought of as a child. With this in mind it is important to remember safety always comes first. I seat belt all pets I need to transport, I do not take pets that are not my own to the dog park, and avoid any situations that may arise in unprecedented issues. My goal is to return your pet to you in BETTER spirits than I left them!

Katie did a wonderful job of watching my dog Otto, who can tend to be a reactive dog. She was not afraid of his strong energy and did a wonderful job caring for and interacting with him. She also took great care of my house during her stay. I highly recommend Katie for anyone with a reactive dog!
Katie is a lovely young lady. We met three times (twice in my home) to plan the three weeks she would stay with my pup while we were in Alaska. Four days into the trip she sent me a message that she was feeling ill in my house and did not believe she could fulfill the three-week contract (she was allergic to my cat who she knew would be there when she agreed to sit). As we were 3000 miles away from home and without wifi or electricity this was a challenge. We did work through Rover to find an alternative situation, but this was quite difficult for us to do and was upsetting when we were so far away. Thankfully Katie did agree to stay several more days in order for another sitter to be available. So my reviews are mixed. I am grateful she was able to fulfill one week of the contract, but am disappointed to have this challenging situation while we were away. BTW, Rover was fabulous in helping us all. Thanks, Rover and especially Tia!!
I would not use Katie again. She was 30 minutes late to meet with for a “meet and greet.” She lost my house keys. She was two hours late to walk my dog. She ended up not even walking my dog, because he was barking too much and was scared of her. I need someone who is more mature/responsible and better with dogs.
Katie has been incredibly helpful with providing feedback about each walk and with observations of our pup. As first time dog owners, this was comforting in our adjustment to using a dog walker!

My approach to caring for your pet is "better safe than sorry." I will never take any "risks" with your pet such as letting them interact with others' pets, avoiding having to drive them in the car, keeping a watchful eye, etc.

I prefer to know about any "unusual" accommodations that should be made while taking care of your dog. Do not hesitate to share or fear I will turn you away. I love to work with pets that need some extra help. We can work together to make sure I understand your pets needs and that I can provide them.
A typical day
Living in Saint Louis Park so close to Lake Calhoun has introduced me to the many walking opportunities around the lake and dog friendly areas to visit. I have dog sat and walked all across the metro and am keen to many of the fun and exiting walking paths in the area. Of course during a stay at least one Starbucks run including a pup cup is obligatory!

I work entirely remote and my employer allows for a lot of flexibility. I can work from anywhere and am able to step away at any time!
