Pet care experience
I have been the neighborhood pet sitter since I was 7, at age 12 I began fostering from the Humane Society, at age 16 I began volunteering and then by age 18 I was an employee. I am very comfortable working with any animal, as well as giving medications and training. I have experience working with animals that have behavior problems, such as the ones that are not the best with strangers. I have a lot of patience when it comes to animals. While working at the Humane Society I picked up a lot of clients to house sit for and have continued this service to this day.

Katie did an amazing job taking care of my dog. She knew how worried I was to leave him, and she sent lots of updates and pictures to put me at ease! She made sure he got lots of play and socialization while I was gone. Also, the morning I got back we got a ton of snow, and katie shoveled the whole driveway, which was such an extra treat after a long day of travel. Highly recommend.

We were so very pleased with Katie, who, less than two hours (6am) before we needed her, agreed to dog sit! We had already scheduled someone from Rover, who canceled two hours before. So, THIS MORNING, Katie came from 20 minutes away to watch our dog during a procedure my husband was scheduled for at a local hospital. And it wasn't just the availability but the quality with which she cared for our pet. Amara is a 15-year-old dog with Cushings and separation anxiety and she knew what to do to soothe her. This preparation and procedure could have been costly, both monetarily and physically, if canceled. Thank you, Katie, for literally saving the day! We are quite certain we will use her again in the near future!

Before sitting for your pet I would like to know the schedule they are used too, their favorite things, as well as their not so favorite things. I am eager to watch any breed of pet you have, as well as any attitude that comes with them!
A typical day
I will make sure your dog gets all the exercise needed! We will go on walks around the neighborhood or local parks. If your dog is a social butterfly then the local dog park we will go! Along with walks we will play fetch, tug-o-war, or training games!

Availability
I am a recent college graduate from Northern Michigan University and am currently working a part-time job at a doggy day care while searching for a more permanent job. My availability changes based on my work schedule. I should not be away for more than 8 hours, preferably 4 hours. Message me with any questions, I try to be as flexible as I can!
