PA-C with a HUGE love for animals🤍

Pet care experience

I have grown up with all kinds of animals…dogs, cats, lizards, hermit crabs, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, bunnies..you name it! I am a HUGE animal lover and coming home to my pets is the best part of my day! I am a board certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), certified nursing assistant (CNA), basic life support (BLS), and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certified. Although my certifications are human related…I treat pets just the same😊

Another amazing booking with Katie! My Bentley just adores her. She treats him like he’s one of her our pets. So grateful for her! Thank you again!

Katie is a fantastic pet sitter!! Katie dropped in on our fluffy family members and made sure they had everything they needed to feel cozy, safe and nicely cared for. In fact, she has taken care of our sweet pets in the past and she does such a lovely job every time so we always know we can reach out to her when we need pet care. Her pictures are also great and really give us peace of mind. Looking forward to next time. Thanks a ton Katie!

Katie was a phenomenal sitter that went above and beyond for our two goldendoodles. She truly treated them like her own and sent frequent updates throughout the day that left me completely stress-free and able to enjoy our vacation. She was incredibly thoughtful and proactive. She took care of a few things around the house without us even asking (like washing sheets and towels so we didn’t have to do more laundry upon arriving home) and went to the vet to pick up medication. She also gave them baths with a new oatmeal shampoo so they were nice and clean for us. We definitely would have Katie sit for us again in a heartbeat.

Again Katie was amazing! Helped us out while we were away on vacation to let him get some exercise on his walks. Bentley just absolutely adores her. Will be using Katie again and again! Thank you!!!

Safety, trust & environment

Safety is a main priority of mine! I like to look at my surroundings, both inside and outside of the home, ahead of time to make sure it is an appropriate space for my pet friends to play. I will read your pet care information thoroughly and refresh myself to understand the needs/wants for not just your pet(s), but for the owner(s) as well. I ask questions before I do anything to make sure it is what the pet owner(s) wants and something they feel comfortable with. I send photos and videos FREQUENTLY (maybe too much🤣), so the owner(s) know their pet(s) are safe, happy, cared for, and loved while they are gone. I just want your pet safe, happy, and loved in my care🤍 When they get really excited to see me, then I know i’m doing the right thing!!

Information Katie N. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know the temperament of your pet(s) as well as typical energy level. I would love to learn about likes and dislikes, whether it’s a good walking spot or favorite toys. It is not just about making sure they are fed and let out, I want them to have fun and feel happy to see me because I am adapting to their personality. I am also very focused on clean-up while I visit your pet(s) and like to leave it just as clean or even more so than when I arrived…so if you have a specific location for toys, treats, leashes, food/water bowls etc. I would be happy to put everything away where you see fit. Even if it is as simple as “they usually get a treat at this time”…please let me know!!! As a PA-C, I am very comfortable with knowing what a specific medication is and also giving them. I have given multiple animals (not just humans) oral and injection medications. One of my own pups needs injection medication regularly and another one of my pups needs daily oral medication so I am very comfortable. All information related to the medication and dosing written out whether it’s on Rover or on a note at the home would be greatly appreciated!

A typical day

I tend to go above and beyond with the pets I care for. I treat them as if they were my own, and while I am with them my sole goal is making them feel happy and loved. I am very flexible with the personalities of different pets and can adapt to what needs they have. Some can be mellow, active, anxious, introverted, extroverted, love walks, do/do not like other animals/people…whatever it is I can change my approach of care focusing on their needs! Every animal is different and we should treat them as such so they feel comfortable! If your pet is mellow, I don’t mind hanging out and cuddling with them…if they are very energetic I will play with them regularly, take them on walks/runs, bring them to dog parks etc. I have three dogs and two cats with VERY unique personalities so I am used to adapting based on what the pet(s) need. I even will try to leave a new toy/treats for a pet (with the owner(s) permission) if I know they love it or may be interested based on how they act during my time with them! I also know a lot of trails and dog parks around the area, I tend to go to the ones close to me, but if your dog(s) is located elsewhere I will do my research beforehand!

Although I am a PA-C, I love spending my free time taking care of pets so I can give them all the extra love and attention while the owner(s) are busy in their day to day life! My schedule is extremely flexible and I frequently update my calendar so you will be able to see my availability anytime if you feel I am a good fit for you😊
