Hello! My name is Katie. I live a few miles away from Disneyland so my place would be a perfect spot to drop off your pet for a doggy day care! My place is also perfect for new puppies or any dogs who do not get along well with other dogs. We do not have many pet owners in my neighborhood and typically do not run into anyone while on walks. I only accept one booking at a time so I can give 100% attention to your pup! I absolutely love dogs but I do not have one myself. I am currently unable to care for my own dog full time due to traveling and finances. I’ve had dogs growing up with my parents so I understand the responsibilities and needs of caring for a pet. I also lived with roommates who had a dog and would dog sit while they were at work or out of town. About me: I am an active person. My newest hobbies include training for a 10k run and Pilates. I workout regularly and love going on runs exploring different running trails, regional parks, or Pilates studios all over the OC area! If I’m not at the gym, I am usually home watching tv, reading a book, or doing a puzzle. I am a home body so I usually spend my weekends curled up on the couch - hopefully with a dog! I will normally be home with your dog all day except for a few hours at the gym :)

I have a fenced in back yard and a wide open front yard. I also have a pool in my back yard. We do not have a doggy door so there is someone always keeping an eye out if we let dogs in the back yard. Typically we only do so for them to have more space to run around but like taking walks for potty breaks. We have not had any incidents with dogs getting in the pool. I am able to crate train and fit a crate easily in our living room. I prefer to have a separate dog bed for your dog to sleep in our bedroom during the night. I live in a small neighborhood with plenty of sidewalks to roam around. My neighborhood does not have many dog owners. We typically do not run into anyone during walks. My place would be perfect for new puppies or any dogs who cannot be near other dogs. With your permission, I love going on walks and exploring different regional parks around the Brea/Fullerton area. I tend to avoid dog parks unless otherwise requested. I will try to send frequent amount of photos and videos with details of our day so you know exactly what your dog is up to. My level of communication is based on your preference. Please let me know how often you’d like to check in. I will send a photo or video with all check in. However, I try to be cognizant of your fun day at Disney or your weekend getaway so do not want to bombard you with texts if that is not your communication style!p

I do not have experience caring for special needs dogs but I am willing to follow any instructions and directions for care provided to me. I do not have any pets myself therefore I do not have any pet supplies on hand. I would need a dog bag packed with daily necessities for your dog.
A typical day
A typical day with your dog would include an initial walk around the neighborhood so your dog can start warming up to me. Then either resting or playing fetch around the living room and kitchen area. On a nice day, I like sitting on our lounge chair in the backyard while watching the dogs run around the backyard sniffing all our bushes. For puppies, I love being able to teach them new tricks or go over existing learned tricks. I am not a dog trainer but have been loving watching dog trainings videos and get excited when I get to reward dogs for their good behavior :)

Availability
I currently work full time - 4 days a week with 3 days off. I can care for a pet full time during my 3 days off (Thursday - Saturday) with frequent potty breaks and walks. I live with my boyfriend who works from home full time and sometimes travels for work. My boyfriend’s parents also live with us. They are retired seniors and we care for them. They are typically home all day and will help ensure the dog’s water/food bowl is full or just sitting with them on the couch if we run to the gym or on an errand. There is usually someone home 24/7 with the dog in case of any emergency.
