Hi! My name is Katie and I’m an EMT that walks dogs on the side! I love animals and thought about doing vet school but decided to go the human medicine route instead! I have a 90 LB pit bull so big and “aggressive “ breeds don’t scare me! I’m available different times during the week, including mornings, nights and weekend. I can house sit, walks, check in visits Including being your pups thunder buddy! Like I mentioned earlier I have a large dog and I have always had dogs! I was also a dog walker in Falls Church before moving to the area! I can provide references if needed! I will also send pictures and updates as requested! I hope to hear from you soon!

Katie walked our dog, Lewes for four months when he was still less than a year old. Katie was really great, always sending texts and photos with updates from their walks. You could tell she was really a dog person and cared about Lewes very much. She even made us some paw cream to use during the winter months (and some great cookies for us people). We were sad when she moved out of our area for a new job. I would highly recommend Katie to anyone who wants to be sure their dog is well cared for while they are away. She is top notch.

I always find out what is the pets normal routine and try to stick to that as closely as possible! For instance, back yard play time, walks in the neighborhood or out at a park, is the pet other dog friendly, etc. I like to get to know my pets and what the expectations of the owners are to insure everyone is happy and safe!

If the dog has any special needs, if the dog is a people/dog dog (gets along with other people/dogs), special leashes/harness/muzzle etc needed. And no specific breed preferred over another!
A typical day
We will go around the neighborhood, and if close to other parks with trails we will go there! I love walking/running the trails! Gives the dog and me a change of scenery!

I am working part time, so I have plenty of time and open availability! I know as a shift work worker, it can be hard to find someone to work with odd hours, so with me you don't have to worry about that!
