I’ve had dogs since I was a child, and spent the past 4 years looking after friends and neighbours’ dogs, both for weekend stays, longer holidays, day-care and drop in visits. I also have my own 1.5 year old cockapoo, my pride and joy! I think I strike a good balance between fun and strict dog mom - taking lots of care to training my current pooch from a young age.

It was a pleasure to leave my little Tomi with Katie and her husband, and their dog Gilbert. They got on very well and Tomi came back absolutely shattered from all the fun, which is definitely what we want! Katie is the best dog mom, and any dog would be lucky to be looked after by her. Katie has looked after Chewy on many occasions for both long stays as well as short and each time has been a great success. She is caring, loving, and really organised with mealtimes, always making sure Chewy has everything he needs. Her home is perfectly setup for dogs with outdoor space and the proximity to so many dog friendly places. Gilbert is the sweetest dog, he and Chewy get along very well and are the best of friends. I could not imagine a better sitter for any dog than Katie, and can’t recommend her highly enough.
Katie looked after our Boston Terrier, Bonnie, for about 4 weeks when we went to visit family in South Africa. We had frequent video calls to check in, and daily photo updates and I could see that Bonnie was extremely happy. Katie took Bonnie on daily walks, fed her according to our prepared schedule and gave her TONS of cuddles and love as she is a very needy doggy. We have seen Katie a few times since then and each time Bonnie sees her she goes running and jumps to her with joy. Testament to the incredible love Katie provided our pooch. I would leave Bonnie with her in a HEARTBEAT again. Thanks Katie xxxx

Usually the pups would be inside during the day. We have a large space inside for them to play and relax. I also have a fenced garden and a very friendly cockapoo to keep your pooch company. I am a very hands on care giver, so will ensure your pooch gets the love, exercise and attention they deserve.

A typical day
I love spending time with my dogs. Usually this consists of up to two walks a day, depending on their needs. Plenty of playing during the day, and cuddling or space when they need to relax. I have a lot of experience in raising my own dog, and care for many friends and neighbours dogs.

Availability
I work from home, and therefore have the time to spend looking after your pooch during the week, or for longer boarding over weekends. My husband is also my right hand when it comes to our doggy care, and supports the walks and general care. We are an outdoors and active couple, which would ensure your dog gets out and about and lots of stimulation. We would need a few days warning to ensure we are plan around expected care.
